- I'm going to be honest. I didn't like Mauritania. It's a difficult country and from what I saw of the main two cities the people were tough and not paticularly welcoming. Not one person stopped to talk to me or gave me anything when I talked to them. I only started to realise why after the video. I think a lot of the mistrust comes from the fact a large section of the population had some first hand experience of slavery and who could blame them for keeping themselves to themselves. Join me as I wander through the streets and drive my old van further than it's ever been.

I do. Oil change, Oil Filter and Air Filter. Other service items aren't that important. More attention to these items is required due to the hot dusty African climate! It's £50. Job in the UK!

Once you cross the border to mauritania that's notoriously the rough portion of the drive, dakar is good however, that's where you want to be

Now im really jeoulous at how cheap internet is in your country i never realised that 10dh for 1 GB is expensive untill i looked up how much westers pay but all homes now have wifi so like 200 dh for illimited internet for a month
I think we pay around £20 a month in the UK for unlimited internet which is great!

religious muslims will view board shorts with disdain unless they come below the knee, that might explain some of the unfriendliness as youre in a conservative area
