Police: University of Idaho students killed in a 'targeted attack'

- Moscow Police say evidence indicates the incident was a targeted attack and have rolled back previous statements that there is no threat to the community.
This university president made me 😭. It's so unusual to see a human speaking publicly with actual feelings that it's moving to see his 💔. I'm so very sorry to their parents. I lost my only child 6 years ago and I know what the loss of the promise of your child feels like. It is the cruelest thing that can happen to a person.

I am sorry too, Donna. I have had a lot of loss in my life, and hardships, although I have never lost or had a child I can understand what kind of pain this is. My heart goes out to the families & loved ones of the victims who are now going through unimaginable grief & trauma. I am so sorry that an evil monster(s) took your children from you. This is devastating. There were six people in the house during this time…how did no one hear anything at all? Even with the possibility of them all being passed out, something is very off. I’m also wondering if the unconscious person was one of the four victims, or another person? This is terrifying and heartbreaking. I have Nieces and Nephews in college, I can’t imagine what the families are going through. 🙏🏻😔

The killers phone was pinging off the wifi routers and other cell phones in the area even if it was turned off and works indoors. They can pinpoint any device within six feet (4G) or six inches (5G). They will catch this person or people.
Thats why they brought the fbi in, but that takes times.
cant they look at phone pings between 1:45am and 4am and specify the location as that house....there'd only be 6 phones + te killer.

How is it possible two of the residents in the home not be aware 4 people were killed in the home in the middle of the night? Did no one scream for help?
Anything is possible, music on, ear buds, bedrooms with doors closed, too f ing scared to breathe, or tired and sound asleep. Does sound as though maybe time line off. If ur one person would you go in to confront 4 adults? Possibly the only young man, Ethan heard a noise and investigated and that is why the 911 caller reported an unconscious person. The 3 ladies could very well have been asleep in their rooms and stabbed one at a time. We may never know if the door was unlocked or left open, there were slider doors also. It was a person(person's) who for whatever senseless reason killed 4 people. Hopefully answers will come to all the people who love them. Have had classes with, worked with, and their sorority brother's and sister's find peace and comfort in having MADISON, KAYLEE, XANA, + ETHAN in "not enough time" of their lives🎈🎈🎈🎈

If all the roommates were asleep, just like Ted Buddy did, the assailant could have gone from room to room while everyone was asleep. The two roommates who weren’t killed could have been out late and didn’t wake up until noon. They also could have had a lock on their bedroom(s) door.

The police chief showed humility - good to see him recognize that they should’ve released a bit more earlier. Makes me trust the police in this a lot more. They all seem very stressed and sad . The university president was so clearly rocked by this…

How so? The police initially said no danger to the community. If someone kills 4 people and is still out there, that person has nothing to lose, so would most likely be a danger. Plus they have no suspect, so how would they even know there’s no danger?

They don’t necessarily need to know anything about the suspect to assume these types of things...just a record of the victims behavior patterns. That’s all I’m really saying. Rest is just shooting in the dark.
How does one person kill 4 people with a knife and there isn't fight back?
There is something very weird about there being 6 people present in that house at the same time, 4 dead & the other 2 left alone? This doesn't make any sense to me. Why did they kill 4 people and leave the other 2? How do you kill 4 people without the others being aware, making noises, screaming, banging things, things falling, moving around, defensive moves, etc. Stabbing multiple people can't be all that quiet. Stabbing with a knife is a very personal thing too. With 4 victims, was there multiple suspects? It doesn't make sense that there were that many kills & no one heard it? If the other 2 roommates were present, how did they not see all the blood? You can't stab 4 people without there being tons of blood all over. If the guy was stabbed, his girlfriend was most likely sleeping next to him & surely she would have screamed? I don't think the guy was the target, but if there was 2 people laying next to each other & you want to kill them, they are most likely going to stab the guy 1st so he can't fight & defend his girlfriend. There are too many questions. This is very strange. I wish they would release a few more details about where & how they were found. All in one room? Did someone hear something & attempt to go see what it was, so they were killed too? There had to be blood everywhere, so why would it be called in as an unconscious person?

"In" the house isn't entirely accurate. The house has three levels and the basement has it's own separate entrance. The two who survived weren't living in the same space as the other 4.

Sometimes students forget to lock the doors after entering, because they believe that their neighborhoods are safe and they believe that because of the number of people living inside the home makes it safe for them to leave the door unlocked.

There are no words. Their heartbreak is painful to watch. I hope and anticipate the police know more than they can say right now for the sake of the case. Surely with the plethora of ring doorbells, cell phones, security camera footage as well as friends, neighbors and other witnesses, they will soon find whoever did this.

This is very wierd, how the hell do you stab 4 different people? No one ran? I don't mean to be morbid but people don't just lay quietly and get stabbed to death. Really strange and horrific crime. I don't see how it could be just one person. But I guess it will be discovered eventually. I hope.
I had trouble with that too. Another case I follow is the Delphi murder which is a double homicide & speculate it was done with a knife. It seems like it would be chaotic . The killer prolly had to ambush them & focus on incapacitating the male first. When someone is in a rage they can become very brutal & it happens very quickly. Surprise prolly worked to the killers advantage.

In many stabbings the victim can walk for a few seconds/minutes after while bleeding out then passes out elsewhere... some even make it outside to the lawn.... this one nobody left their room?? what??

Probably passed out behind locked doors. I remember sleeping in until at least 1pm in college after a long night out.
Maybe they did hear something but did not understand what it was. Saturday night just off-campus, you hear all kinds of drunks whooping, shrieking and yelling, and plenty of loud music. And angry voices, often enough.
Not everyone who is stabbed bleeds a lot externally. But maybe the caller just could not rouse them and was not sure if they were really dead. It can be hard for people who have never witnessed death to believe a human being is really dead. And if there is any chance at all, then “unconscious” could bring help faster than “dead”. If you find someone like that, would your first thought be that there are other people dead in the house? Maybe they were in different rooms.
Young people stay late and go to sleep late. They sleep deep. Possible even drinking .. House is pretty big. Has multiple floors. They probably don't live on the same floor.
They need to bring back public crucifixion for the perpetrators of this crime.

Cooper two more people / roommates were in the house and didn’t get attacked or killed the incident occurred at 3 AM but they didn’t call to the police until the next day noon if that’s not alarming I don’t know what is. Watch the entire thing and decide and also when they called the police they didn’t say their roommates were stubbed they said they found one person unconscious that’s when the police came in and find out there were three more people killed …. That’s what the guy on the podium was saying they should be immediate suspects in my opinion

How do the police know that this was a targeted attack? Targeting these 4 but leaving the other 2? Says first that there os no further threats to the society but without a suspect to name. This will go down as a real bad initial police work.

Had to be someone they knew , No one is going to stand there and watch their friend get stabbed. The other roommates that survived are hiding something, They took to long to call the police, they took long because they was getting their story straight. they were not hurt because they did it or know who did it. Your in the house and your other roommates get stabbed and you don't see or hear anything. come on Cops don't be blind. Rip in peace young people, Bless and keep the families.

I can see killing 4 people with bullets but with a knife and left them to bleed out? How does this occur? Only time will tell.
more people are killed with knives than ar15 a year!

Most college students aren’t worried about guns and getting stabbed to death. They are worried about school, friends, parties and having fun. Stupid gun argument seriously
Who would do such a thing? Isn't a knife attack more of a personal crime - as in the attacker knew the victims?

Two other room mates in the home , that's 6 people, none heard the screams? None woke up till after noon?! Somethings not adding up here.
