For the last phase of the boss, if you do a forward dash attack to the camera thing, it will knock back the boss, saving you from having to dash back out quickly. Makes last phase really easy , just wait for animation to finish, dash attack, repeat.
For anybody who may be reading this in 2020, the 2nd phase of the boss is easy ONLY if you just want to beat it. To get the SPECIAL WEAPON you have to defeat it by ripping off all of its legs in phase 2 instead of focusing on the camera head. Then you get some kind of 2.0 special weapon.
Cut all its arms to get Firebug Throttle v2.0 ;) This game has the same boss mechanics as LoF. Complete a certain task and the bosses drop a special version of their weapons

However, if you cut all the arms, you get a better version of it, named Firebug Throttle v2.0. It has better stats and elemental damage (fire) as well. Again, same thing as with Lords of the Fallen (from same developer), every boss has a secret task for the player to figure out, a challenge if you like. If the player finishes the challenge, the boss drops a better version of it's weapon.
I know this is old but I beat this boss with ease. Some thanks to your guide, but I just observed him good. Don't target a leg move freely and it's easy to predict his attack just move to the side and you can get a 3-4 hit combo on one leg with the staff. Secondly the last part of the boss when he raises to burn yiu, you can rush beneath him and have at it he will keep trying to burn you.
Definitely left a like. I've been hitting the wrong leg that's why I was getting clapped. I was running and slide hitting but my 2h weapon was too slow so he would do that spin attack and 1 shot me. Thanks a lot finally got his ass.

This games lacks most important thing where DS shines - satisfying feeling of overcoming adversity through learning from your mistakes. I like The Surge but it is again unpolished, same as Lords of the Fallen. Weird unblockable attacks, confusing areas, confusing enemy movesets that are really hard to read, stupid bloody timer when you die to regain your scraps etc... Couldve been awesome but no.
RPG Division you say about the unblockable attacks, fighting the firebug when it slams one of its legs down I'm finding the the game will drag me back within the radius of the damage arc even though I should have side stepped out of it... happens mostly when I'm close to a wall, it's really pissing me off.

i thought most games only block the shit that comes at you from the direction you are facing with the block.. makes sense. unless you are blocking with a force field. does blocking even work at all with this enemy? i would think it wouldnt work. too many arms and shit flying around.

Lynx gear + Twin Rigged, dash in 2-3 attacks, dash out. Cut that fuckers every leg before killing him. Weapon you get it pretty awesome if you play with Twin Rigged like me.
The boss made a sudden move and got in the way of my weapon as I was trying to cut the last leg and permanently locked me out of the weapon this run, sucks. Terrible system. I didn't have much luck trying to twin-rig dashing in and out though, but what worked for me was jump-attacking with single-rigged (PAX v2), and then dodging out again if it didn't fall on its knee.
Perhaps you can tell me how it is you prevent this boss from going into heavy second phase attacks when i cant even get close to the camera because that is all it does
My attacks don't seem to hit the camera all the time, like I'm right up on it, attacking and it's not doing any damage. Sometimes it even dodges my attacks. To me this boss should be nerfed or fixed.
Everytime I fight this boss he has like 4 more attacks than what it shows when you fight him so this strategy hardly works cause the attacks that he does are incredibly fast and my only good weapon is the pax imperator which is incredibly slow Iv already fought this boss like 20 times and I still only get 1/4 of his health down before I get trapped and he kills me
@@straightouttagaming3110 what? Removing all legs gets you the V.2 which is stronger then the normal version of its weapon drop but when you remove all the legs you have to stay super close or it will just dash repeatedly. So get it to one or two hits then take of the last leg.
Good players don't complain and bitch about game mechanics. Blocking works but it would be too OP if you could even block boss or tougher enemy attacks; and good players also turn off lock on during boss fights for better mobility.
thebtargeting system is soooo bad in this game, omg, frustrating. i like the game, but the bosses are absolute trash due the the aim and block. basically, this game is about dismatling one enemy at a time, not combating hordes like souls

I like difficult games but bosses that have a full up, one shot out of nowhere hit...really ruins the game for me. Apart from that it's a good game.

I can't get passed the second phase. I've been trying to do this boss for a month now. That's a month of my life I will never get back.
I know this is old but I beat this boss with ease. Some thanks to your guide, but I just observed him good. But how did you get those equipments like that long ass weapon? I have a freakin box as helmet and your helmet looks much better
Chop off armoured parts of enemies with armor you dont have and the right arms of ppl with weapons you dont have
Plus explore there are weapons you can pick up like the reinforced pipe

Stay close to mid range and he wont use the extra attacks (like the distructo disc)
And the reinforced pipe, and MG Negotiator are to staffs you can get in this area before the boss
