I’ve been a Boston Omaha (NYSE: BOC) shareholder for several years now - since shortly after its IPO, and before it was on the radar of many investors. But after an extremely disappointing 2024 business-wise, my conviction level in the stock simply isn’t what it used to be. In this video, I explain why I’m trimming some of my Boston Omaha position and how a move like this can help lower my taxes.

Before i encountered steve michael steele, I was losing trades but his expertise in technical analysis, coupled with his effective risk management strategies, has helped me navigate the volatile market with confidence.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information. It will be especially beneficial for young investors with limited knowledge of how the market operates. Your concern is much appreciated.
Thanks, Matt, for an interesting discussion on BOC, a company that never really got me excited. The lack of transparency and poor communication would be enough for me to sell all my shares if I owned any. And how anyone can suggest that management is now doing a great job is simply delusional. The facts and metrics speak for themselves.
I’m also stuck with a BOC position, and am extremely annoyed that the Managment have done such a poor job. The only people to make money from BOC is the CEO and Ex Co CEO. They never have to work again. But shareholders have been left with a very underwhelming business. To not at least talk directly to shareholders is shameful of the CEO.
Hi Matt - I am already a subscriber for TMF, have been since 2000. I sold my complete position in BOC a while back as my gut was telling me something was off. I think that if u keep it, it becomes a value trap. I would just write it off and redeploy. Just IMHO.....
I was never exited by BOC.
I know your original theses hasn’t played out but if you look at the stock now it’s selling for less than book value and growing decently. IF it turns profitable and can return a little more capital or re-rate it could still be a decent investment.
