Interested to know if you would change to a Fuji x camera if you had the chance? Have you considered Ricoh GR for a minimalist set up? I loved the fact you looked at the lens for you own use and looked past preconceived ideas.
Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment, Bradley! I've thought about changing to Fuji but at the time I bought my a6300 the Fuji X cameras couldn't really match it in terms of video so that's why I ended up investing in the Sony system... I love the look of the Fujis but in terms of end results I don't feel they offer me anything vastly different than what I already get from my current set-up. I also love the GR as a minimalist camera but again, I feel like my Sony with the 20mm has given me some of my best travel shots while being almost the same size. So for now I won't be changing to any other systems :)
Great and compact kit but no X100? substitute. No leaf shutter, no 1/4000 sec sync speed, no in camera ND filter ! Many people buy an X100 series camera for those reasons
I bought this lens 2 times in the past. Both times at around usd100 used, mint condition. The image quality is good for how tiny it is. Quite sharp, especially at f4 or above. I’ve since been drawn to shooting other focal lengths (super wide, short telephotos & really long telephotos), so i sold the lens again (with profit, i might add ) Would i buy it again? Absolutely - if i can find one for sale at a similar price. *your camera still won’t be a fuji x100 though 😂 no film simulations on sony bodies..
Thanks Ted, it really is a great 'handbag' lens lol, I actually keep it in a fanny pack sometimes when I travel. Super convenient and protected from the elements.
Just got this lens for my A6000 and I love it, so minimalist, tiny and sober
Is this the ultra minimalist photography set-up for Sony APSC shooters? Let me know your thoughts!
Stuart Hendricks Agree! I have just ordered this lens, I’ll text you in some weeks
I’ll try it here, this is my music account
Very good content, thank you... can we compare this 20mm lens with the Fuji 18mm f2 in image quality?
When will you have a full review just about the 20mm f2.8, maybe with more samples, maybe some long exposures? :)

Great content. Wish the music volume was a little lower. I appreciate the tips tho. Thank you !
Thanks and apologies for the poor audio :(
This is a very spiritual and insightful observation *sharpness over speed ,minimalism over all saver
Call me the Mirrorless Philosopher. 🤓
Would it be asking too much if you could provide a link to the lens? 😃
This can work on the fullframe sony right?
I got it and like it so far!
Awesome Matt, glad you're enjoying it 🙌🏽 it really is a fun little set-up!

Okay, now you've got me eager to pick up the 20mm. BTW, the background music at the beginning of the video was way too loud.

Picture profiles have so much potential though. Takes some effort but, it’s manageable
Join the dark side, get a fuji : )
Hah! Tempting, but I've just about blown my gear budget for the year 😅
better than x100f
Great video. I'm planning on getting this just so my 5100 will fit in my wife's handbags easier haha

Thanks for watching! I don't have any immediate plans to visit HK, but I will definitely post more videos from around Asia. :)
Lol. Flossers at 8:10 😂
Lol well-spotted! 😅
Music is too loud and distracting
Waiting for what you had to say about the Fuji thing. Bait title. Just put "review of the Sony 20mm lens"
3:01 and 8:25 mate.
The music ruins your video.
This music doesn’t fit the video well. It’s too repetitive. Thanks for the idea.
