Me and my wife come here all the time. The concert venue is amazing and ginger the restaurant the food is great. Usually in the casino they don’t have many waitresses serving drinks. You have to go to the different bars they have and go in one of the lounges in the casino. But you don’t have to pay to get in any of the lounges at night they are 2 different nightclubs and most of the time the entry fee is free but some time they will charge it all depends on if it’s a concert that night or something going on but good job this is casino and the national harbor is a hidden gem keep up the good work we love your channel.

Sure! Would have loved to have stayed there. We were staying at Gaylord down the street.
I was stationed nearby a few years ago. Nightlife in National Harbor is really good... well prior to the pandemic it was; hopefully still is. Lots of bars and restaurants and the waterfront... it was a really fun and safe place to hangout on Saturday nights, bring my family and friends that were visiting from out of town.
My routine was to bring people to the DC museums and shopping at Tyson's Corner in the day, take a break and then hop over to National Harbor for evening fun.
The casino is nice. I've been to quite a few and it's still impressive to me. Always clean. The slots weren't tight back then but everyone knows that varies from trip to trip but they had new games and it was fun. Yea, I they have cocktail service at night but even back then it was kind of hard to get a drink but the bar was fast if you wanted to order one. I never went to the restaurants.

Ive had nothing but great experiences at MGM National Harbor. Been going there since 2019 and to my surprise, I've had decent luck there.
I have only played blackjack on the main floor. It does pay 6 to 5 instead of the traditional 3 to 2 and has an automatic shuffler (granted some say they think it helps their odds).
They also have dealer assisted roulette, baccarat, blackjack, craps, ultimate Texas hold 'em poker, war & three card poker (so I'm not sure if there still is the other assisted ultimate Texas hold 'em poker or three car poker). I haven't been since November of 2022.

Servers will ask if you want drinks and will charge you right when you order. We had an experience where our server didn't come back for over 40 minutes for beer. If you go here, grab a drink at a bar because unlike Vegas, if you order a drink, you need to wait where you're playing or you lose what you already paid.

Yes! Totally almost missed that! There is a escalator in the center of the casino. It was smaller in size than downstairs. Slots, they had a tournament going in up there and some quick serve dining places.
The second floor is poker, video poker, sports book, and horse racing OTB.
Are the restaurants open to the public? I live nearby and have been wanting to drive there to explore the place. The area though is as sketchy as it comes from what I've seen in the news and heard.
Seems like all the restaurants we open. We drove from Gaylord hotel there so I didn’t really get a vibe from the streets. I didn’t feel like it looked sketchy but it was like below zero during our visit! No one was around! It’s a cool casino. Not as large as Borgata or nice but sorta that MGM feel. Didn’t feel unsafe at all. Had a nice time :)
Sketchy? LMAO, that national harbor is the least sketchy area in all of DC. It's one of the most upscale areas in the whole DC metro. I think you must be confusing this area with somewhere else.

The drinks are NOT free and absurdly expensive. It's a nice casino and the food is decent, but the prices are insane.

not a fan, the building is nice - the service is non-existent, union employees from PG County - slow and rude mostly. Not a lot of options for breakfast (if you stay) or late night - drinks in casino are CHARGED and served in very small plastic cups, since the rough clientel kept smashing them
Thanks for sharing your experiences. 👍 I wasn’t there long enough to gather any opinion about the service. I don’t honestly thing we had any interaction with anyone there. It was a sat morning busy but the crowd seemed calm during my visit everyone there was gambling 🎰

Drinks cannot be complimentary under Maryland law, I have found the service to be ok, the drinks are really strong and I have frequently been given doubles when purchasing singles. Drinks are around $10!
