Not really. This is a remix of the same theme as megalovania. Calling this a version of megalovania is not nearly as accurate as calling both this and megalovania remixes of dr andonuts rage. By no stretch of the imagination is homestuck in smash. Doesnt help that the same reason sakurai gives for not adding the likes of goku or iron man applies to homestuck.

i feel so lucky that i got to be a part of this fandom at its peak. i remember sitting at my computer scrolling through tumblr, getting an MSN messenger notification from my friend that just said "UPD8" and hauling ass to the website to check it out. good times
Man I remember following ask (characters) for homestuck on tumblr, reading the updates on my phone, and also using my computer classes to check updates each morning. It gave me something to look forward to each day. The cons in the summer, the fanfics to read at night before bed, and the people I had as friends for a bit all because of mspa. Seriously a magical time.
I was at a con, and everyone had been anticipating an update for a while (just after the Trickster update. Oh god. The Trickster update. I had literally just caught up the night previous.), and the page where Hussie and Caliborn argue updated. Someone screamed "UPDATE!" and everyone rushed for their phones. People were super nice and reading it over each other's shoulders since not everyone had touchscreens at the time. 😅

Vikingrush Finally someone I can relate to. Undertale may have brought me back to this, but I also came back for the feeling of nostalgia that this melody gives. For a lot of people Homestuck was the first place they heard Megalovania, for some it was the Earthbound hack and for some it was Undertale. I think all versions of the song are badass and all imply "Yeah, you're gonna have a bad time, kid."

I used to be in the Homestuck fandom during 2011-2014. It was such a wild ride, it was probably one of the very first fandoms that I felt at home with. First time I ever cosplayed was at Anime Expo as John Egbert. I was so scared because I didn't know anyone there, I also went alone. But! The Homestuck fans were so nice and friendly, I'm happy I was part of that. I hope that the new fans find just as much love and happiness in the fandom too, like I did! Basically, for all the undertale people, this is what's happening. Jack is killing all the Derse dreamer's dream selves, then Aradia ascends to god tier and wakes up from her quest bed/cocoon, breaking the robot clone of her, fights jack and freezes him, where it then transitions to Vriska, also god tier, who kills Tavros who's trying to stop her from creating Bec Noir, also known as Jack, when he realizes she creates the paradox that makes him. Jack's the guy who was killing everyone in the first part. Or not. Homestuck's confusing, man.

I first heard the Undertale version of this, after this I started to read Homestuck out of curiosity and I have to say, as soon as I came to this part I instantly fell in love with this version of this song. I will probably get so much hate for this but this version is 10 times better than the Undertale version. The Animation for it being one major part

Funny thought here, in this flash Vriska went goes on to kill one of the more calm and (possibly) lovable characters in the series in one hit. Vikingrush Finally someone I can relate to. Undertale may have brought me back to this, but I also came back for the feeling of nostalgia that this melody gives. For a lot of people Homestuck was the first place they heard Megalovania, for some it was the Earthbound hack and for some it was Undertale. I think all versions of the song are badass and all imply "Yeah, you're gonna have a bad time, kid."
You know, I was actually hoping that Tavros WOULD land a hit on Vriska. He was really brave here and I think it would've been nice to see how that moment of courage would transform him as a character.

I used to be in the Homestuck fandom during 2011-2014. It was such a wild ride, it was probably one of the very first fandoms that I felt at home with. First time I ever cosplayed was at Anime Expo as John Egbert. I was so scared because I didn't know anyone there, I also went alone. But! The Homestuck fans were so nice and friendly, I'm happy I was part of that. I hope that the new fans find just as much love and happiness in the fandom too, like I did! Basically, for all the undertale people, this is what's happening.
Jack is killing all the Derse dreamer's dream selves, then Aradia ascends to god tier and wakes up from her quest bed/cocoon, breaking the robot clone of her, fights jack and freezes him, where it then transitions to Vriska, also god tier, who kills Tavros who's trying to stop her from creating Bec Noir, also known as Jack, when he realizes she creates the paradox that makes him. Jack's the guy who was killing everyone in the first part. Or not. Homestuck's confusing, man.

I first heard the Undertale version of this, after this I started to read Homestuck out of curiosity and I have to say, as soon as I came to this part I instantly fell in love with this version of this song. Funny thought here, in this flash Vriska went goes on to kill one of the more calm and (possibly) lovable characters in the series in one hit.
