Great glad to hear you get on with them too. We have avon skin so soft as well as I cardin and Smidge so we are tryin them all. There are clouds and clouds of them at the moment
good that they have the batteries in the unit on the screen side ..other models that have them in the lid the tiny wire that connects the lid to the main unit (via the hinge) break after a few months of opening the unit up to see footage
It is a nice review. If I had a large enough piece of land I would consider one. Right now the camera's that I already have are sufficient enough for me. But it is still interesting to watch. So big 👍
Looks decent. The replaceable battery is a plus in my opinion. When I buy any battery operated gadget, that's my first priority actually. If a built-in battery dies, that's basically the end of the whole device. With replaceable battery, you can just replace it without throwing the whole thing in the bin. So that's good. There's a whole lot of dash cams for example on the market advertising as 4K capable, but in reality they only have a 2K sensor at best and upscale the footage to 4K. Not saying that that's the case with this one, but it's very common. With a grainy night vision footage, it's hard to tell the difference.
In the manual it does say 4 pieces of LR6 Alkaline batteries. I know it suggests to charge lithium batteries before fitting on the cover but its referring to the internal battery!

@@offgridscotland I've only come across one deer in my life. It was stood in middle of the road. ,don't fret though ,at time it made it back into grass at side with no harm . That though sir was a sight to behold.
Although it records in 4k it could be upscaling the picture. My wildlife cam which is admittedly quite old, upscales as it only has a 3 megapixel camera. What difference does it make? Well really it just affects the size of the video and the files. So you could set it to hd and get more on the memory card and probably the battery would last longer too. One thing that may alert the animals as well as the light is that the electronics can emit a whine when powering the leds. However if it's in one place for a long time they get used to it and ignore it.
Ah yea someone else mentioned the upscaling. I diddnt actually consider that when I was filming as It sounded a bit advanced for a cheap camera but I think they probably are

A very large number of people up here swear by "Avon Skin So Soft" as a midge repellent. It does work and can be cheaper than the actual designed for the purpose repellents.
I know so do I. I have some big projects I am working on behind the scenes so I am glad to have these to put out while I buy myslef some time so hopefully you like those when they come out.

Yea I was sceptical because a lot of companies like to claim 4k so the marketing looks better so I wasnt sure

I have got a tube as well as smidge and have been trying them all in an attempt to find a good solution. Havent yet chosen my favorite
