I’ve the e spark kit and it looks nothing like this.
When I get the points out the instructions say I have a bottom plate and a top plate, attach the bottom plate to the breaker plate, whats a breaker plate and where is it? Once the points are out there no other plate to secure the bottom plate too.

How do you secure the plate? Didn't see you tighten the screw to the clip so don't understand if you tightened those clip screws and that holds the plate in which doesn't look like they would.

Good info - the sheet that came with my unilite said nothing about 1.4 ohms being the threshold for needing a ballast resistor. The other thing missing was... a parts list/diagram, and nothing to tune on the mechanical advance if needed. Someday I'm gonna need a new rotor or cap. And how come the spanish section was twice as long as the english one?

Wonder how often these go out and leave guys stranded? I have a dual point but worried if I converted it I'd be broke down on the side of the road in my pro street car .

First item in the instructions for connecting the red wire says connect it to 12 volt side of the resistor. News flash: this video shows the red wire connected to the coil positive. That is 6 volts during run. It is only 12 volts during start. That is because the ignition switch bypasses the resistor in start mode. In run mode the circuit is through the resistor. Reducing the positive coil voltage to six volts. The question is: is the red wire connected to the 12 volt run side of the resistor? Or the 6volt side after the resistor as shown in this video? Counter to the included instructions this simple install makes absolutely no sense when it comes to connection of the red wire.

Where in God’s green Earth do you find that “plastic clip”!!!!! The only part I can find is the pigtail from dizzy wires to coil/ ground! I have searched EVERYWHERE for the female plastic side of the wire harness that comes from distributor!! Every kit I ordered does not include the plastic end for the wires to go into after feeding through dizzy and connecting to the pigtail!
