❓ Who we are?
We are a family of 4, escaping city life for adventures in the countryside. We use our van as a daily drive, to extend a day out and for family holidays.
We have a T5 VW 2004 campervan ready converted when we bought it but have added lots since buying it.

Yes I agree with you about Dougie & Ann, I met them on several occasions whilst out hiking around the area. He used to dress and look a bit scary with his patch over one eye and carrying an axe around with him. They just wanted peace and quiet to be left alone.

To be quite honest I’ve no idea !!! ( sorry not helpful )
I just put “ the roaches “ into google and found a park spot - if o remember correctly there are signs and it is a “ there and back “ walk so you could park at either end - as in where we parked or the end with the house .
We faffed about a bit but not a long walk at all - I’d say , just walking non stop , maybe a few hours .
We had a lovely day for it and it’s rather exposed so perhaps pick your weather wisely.
