- In the middle of Tampa Bay, there’s a place locals have nicknamed "Beer Can Island." And now, you can own a piece of that paradise. Paradise Island - Pine Key, or Beer Can Island, was created in the 1940s as a result of dredging. The people who have owned it for seven years are selling the party island. There is a potential new owner who is drumming up interest, and money, by offering part ownership of Beer Can Island for $1,000 per share. Inside Edition Digital’s TC Newman has more.

We have a "Beer Can Island here in Miami. It's the island just inside Haulover Inlet. We been calling it Beer Can Island as far back as the 60's

It isn't difficult to consider that in 1950 a grandfather took his son and grandson, 40 years later that son has a son and grandson and takes them in 1990. 34 years later that son takes the 7th generation for a boat ride

We use to stop by as a kid, but it had nothing built on it back then.
Those early moments had to be awkward, going to a party place you and your family and friends have gone to for generation after generation, to have a homeless looking guy come wandering out of the mangroves say "hey if you want to party here it'll cost you $5"
