What tips helped you and what did we miss? There's no way we thought of EVERYthing, but hopefully this gave you some good ideas!

Would like to see a more compact version. I love the blog posts you guys have where you basically say …. These are the 50 things you want and here’s why.
Would like to see that here. Maybe with different size constraints. The small percentage of the population in rural or highly suburban environments may be able to get away with a full trunk, what about people in urban areas that cannot? What about people with smaller trunks?

@@zero11010 Thanks for the input, Zero! Sometimes we can't fit everything in the video we would like, or we think of things after the shoot. The assumption and hope here is that people take what they like from this video as is, alter it, or buy smaller/less expensive substitutes to meet their needs. -Rusty

@@Equip2Endure it’s always easier to add more, right? You cater to prepper minded people. They can fill their garage with stuff just fine. It’s when that stuff needs to be limited to a small space that things get challenging.
What you’re presenting here is basically a slightly modified version of a 72 hour kit. I mean, you covered food. Nobody “needs” food in a 24 hour period (give or take real health issues).
It’s easy enough to ignore weird comments like “if cash is still accepted” (that’s a genuinely bizarre statement). It turns the video from …. “Here’s how to be an adult and account for an eventual flat tire” and moved into the realm of loony let’s prepare for the collapse of society, you’ll be lost without barter items”
Maybe videos that show people how to scale up. That’s the core reoccurring issue.
The only differences between this and a personally carried kit are the automotive items which I think was less than half your runtime.
It becomes “here are essential car items” and also see this content on a get home bag and a 72 hour bag. Instead, you create a lot of redundancy. 👍

Thanks for the content. 👍 This doesn’t work for the bulk of the population. Most people live in urban environments. You cannot leave your car filled with stuff all the time. It’s just a matter of time before it gets broken into and everything is stolen out of it.
I do keep minimal things in the space under the trunk of my car … maybe seven cubic liters. Jacket, poncho, multi tool, tire pressure gauge, high vis vest, roadside kit with flares and a boo-boo kit, tire sealant. Enough to deal with rain, being seen, and staying warm if the temperatures drop 20 degrees, and handle common roadside issues.
10 times out of 10 the solution to the problem will be a cell phone call. If I do a larger trip I’ll have more with me (personal kit and such). If I’m doing any real driving it’s easy enough to just be ready for an unexpected night of car camping with the understanding that if anything actually happens, you’re likely to just be sleeping in a hotel (but in a once in a lifetime event you’ve got things to make due).

    I love this concept!
Just starting the video. Most videos I see of this type are pretty similar. “Store several hundred dollars worth of gear in your car at all times and you’ll be fine.” For those of us in urban areas that’s not an option or, in addition to replacing a window you’ll need to replace all that gear 1-3 times a year.
The general … plan to stay overnight even if you may not need to idea is solid. You don’t really need more than weather protection and possibly water depending on where you’re at.

I keep either a Jetboil or Vargo Bot in my camping pack.

A lot of great information. I would say pack for your regional areas. Then pack for the adventure you're going on. Strap that glass breaker down, things go flying on impact.

Definitely interested in seeing a video on the emergency drill. I've been actively involved in emergency preparedness for the last 40+ years since my career in the U.S. Coast Guard.
