Hello there may I suggest you list the sups that have been tested (brand model). You may send someone really interested in one board to go with subscription a lot sooner.
I have ordered an 2017 nsp DC wide 8'10"/32". Have not tried yet and have no experience from wave boards. I come from a allwater race sup and I ve fall in love with small wave riding, so let's see how it ll go
I wonder how this board would compare today.
And I always wondered why never testing NSP boards?

Thanks for the comment. We certainly will begin to list the board that have been tested. We appreciate the suggestion.
We have heard good things about the NSP DC Wide. Dale Chapman, the shaper is a renowned SUP surfer and designs some greta boards.
We do ask all of the brands to take part in the testing, but for a number of different reasons, some decline to provide a board for us. We do buy boards that we think readers want in the test, so next time we will consider NSP.
      Thanks again, Beau

Wasn’t too impressed with deck pad on my super Frank, very slippery, how did was the pad on the one you tested?

Ah shame to hear that. I found the pad to be quite grippy when using it. More grippy than others we used. I found this forum that might help you decide what to do www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/Slippery-traction-pad-problem?page=1
Try contacting JL too to see if this is a one off problem. Hope that helps. Thanks, Beau

    Hi, excellent ! please think about redwoodpaddle source 8'5 x 31'' x 120l or 8'11 x 32'' x 125l.
    Cheers from France

I am looking forward to having your opinion on the Jimmy Lewis Superfranck 7'6 :)

@@sengyo thanks for the comment - absolutely, we were very keen to have the Red Wood in the test, more than 100 brands were invited and we chase chase chase many brands, but we did not get a response from Red Wood after a lot of trying :( We will keep telling them for future tests :)

Wouldn't wide boards be over 32" wide?

    • @SUPboardermag

Good point. The industry 'standard' (there's not really one) is that wide boards are considered to be around 32". Generally, surf SUPs that are under 30" are considered performance, whilst those over 30" fall into the wider shape category. Little confusing I know. Thanks, Beau

😂. Guess you haven't tried one yet? Sorry if you have had a run in with SUPs in the past. We try to promote good etiquette in the surf, but there are a few who don't follow the rules.
