  • Taken from the 12th century Sanskrit work of Jayadeva, the Gita Govinda, this is the 10th poem in the work which is a conversation between Radha and her friend about the state of Krishna, it is as though the forest that once welcomed him now plays a cruel game with him. The sweet cool breeze brings with it the god of love who is attacking him with his flower arrows. He hears and sees you everywhere, haunted by your memory, he has given up his home and its comforts and lies on the cold dirt floor calling your name, they say to Radha ‘Krishna suffers in your silence’.
Beautifully choreographed by Bragha Bessell with a deeply emotional performance by Christopher Gurusamy, this piece is even more moving with Vignesh Ishwar's sensitive singing. They are supported by electrifying performances by Sayee Rakshit on violin and Akshay Anantapadmanabhan on mridangam.

I am loving all of these, but this one is especially (if sadly) beautiful.
I liked the change to monochrome (about 17 mins in). I assume this was a post-production effect - (or did you manage it live, the lighting beforehand giving the illusion of coloured costumes?) Thank you!
