It would be the same. The wattage doesn't change cause when you're running it on 220v AC it would be consuming 0.272 amps but when it's running on 12v DC it's consuming 5 amps. That makes it a 60 watt fan either ways. Remember that 220v AC will be converted to DC via the rectifier and the fan motor ultimately runs on 12v DC.

I need to decide on buying one and am confused between a few brands like GFC, Pak, Royal and SK. All of these use their own names like AC DC Fan, Inverter Fan, Solar DC fans. What do you recommend if price isn’t a major issue. Since I’ll be changing only three fans in whole house. I’ve seen SK work marvellously on slow without any noise as well as completely silent on ups too.

1. Ac/dc fan se kam qeemat ho kyun k input sirf ac ki hai
2. Meray ghar pe ac wiring hai aur inverter ac input day rha hai to mai alag se dc ki wiring karta hn to look kharab ho jati hai.

@@4555sf yes that's why i was asking, if we have an option of ac fan with bldc motor we'll save some power. Bldc fan consumes 30 to 50watts whereas a fan with ac winding consumes 90 to 110 watts... i have to bought 9 fans but ac/dc fans cost double
