"Oh no, an obstacle!" Ahahahaha! Great explanations! My goal is to learn to bunny hop this summer so I have it my "wheel house" in case of emergency while commuting. I'm definitely giving this a go.
Excuse me mr cobra bunny hop man, I noticed in your video you mentioned you can impress people along with animals with this bunny hop thing you do on the bi wheeled manually powered movement machine you have... so I have a question I've been trying to impress this possum around my neighborhood for ages However he has remained unimpressed by my actions, do you believe this bunny hop will impress said possum ? Also do you mind providing a list of all the animals that could be impressed by this "bunny hop" ? perhaps a video of you doing it to impress a few as an example would be helpful. Thank you
I would start off with a bunny. He will be flattered by your efforts of doing a stunt that bears his name. Next try it on a dog. Dogs are generally happy critters that will appreciate anything you do. Possums have to be the hardest to impress. I once saved a trapped possum from a garbage can to less than rave response from him. Last time I save one of them. Good luck with your neighborhood possum. Try giving him some ice cream? I found ice cream socials often break the ice.
Went flying off the sidewalk today and was thankful the bike took it well. Lead me to your video. Had no idea my bike would take the stress and stay consistent, but it did. Thanks for the info. Good to know one can mean to do this and survive 😁
Yesterday I was fooling around and I learned how to hop without holding my bars. I lean back and grab my seat nose and hop/pull. With speed the front tire stays straught or corrects when it lands. It was fun and i could even do lateral hops over street lines.
Great video. I spend a lot of time on my Gravel Bike and have the English bunny hop down and can do the two step to get over curves. Need to really practice my bunny hops to get more clearance on both MTB and gravel (want to give Six Shooter in Austin a try this year).
Thanks Robert! I've been wanting to give gravel bikes a try. I looked up that six shooter race and it looks really fun. Even has a "bragging rights" fun class. You should totally go for it!
Absolutely! It's honestly easier to bunny hop on a mountain bike because of the more aggressive geometry. In your case you also have the advantage of compressing your fork down and using the rebound to assist you in getting the front wheel off of the ground.
The pros Bunny Hop on their bikes, your probably using a double suspension bike, doing a wheelie and then jumping. That will break the fork. Or maybe your putting too much pressure on the handlebars
So I was a former mountain bike user, and I do bunny hops over humps in my neighborhood before. Now I just bought a road bike, and my MTB habits came with using the road bike and earlier I was on a hurry with my road bike I jumped over a hump and I landed with my front wheel and my front wheel interior suddenly exploded. Is it really recommended for cyclist to bunny hop with a road bike?
I'm sorry to hear your wheel had issues! Was it the hub or did the tire just pop? While road bikes aren't designed with bunny hopping in mind, they are capable of doing so within reason. Just gotta make sure all your components are in safe working order. I wouldn't recommend trying to set any bunny hop records, but I've seen lots of road cyclists use a small hop to avoid obstacles. Maybe have a shop check out your bike and see if they can look it over for any faulty parts.
can I ask you a question? I'm worried about the hoods cracking while bunny hopping. I used to ride bmx bikes and that kind of thing was never a concern if you used good quality parts, but as road bikes are not designed for hopping, what do you think? will they break?
Nice vod. But i just can't get my back tyre in the air And does it damage the tyres a lot cause i am changing a lot of tyres recently so my parents won't impressed by a flat tyre
AR 7 Thanks! If you are getting a lot of flats, make sure you pump up your tires to a high pressure. The side of your tire will say the max pressure. I run mine around 105 psi, and the max is 120 psi. If you're using a mountain bike, you could always convert it tubeless. Happy riding!
Thanks! The Civic hatchback was such a good car. I even put my fat bike inside of it no problem. I don't have that car anymore, but I highly recommend it. Great fuel economy and functional!
Weight is definitely going to hinder you a bit, but it can be overcome! Try compressing your arms down more, and pulling up a bit farther before lunging forward. It can be tough at first to get it, but keep practicing and having fun while learning!
Lol I was writing something then I figured it was way too long & complicated so I earsed it😅 To keep it short: Once you've learned how to pick up the back wheel up with no issues, work on picking up your front wheel *ONLY* as high as you can. Since ths back wheel is only going as far up as your front wheel goes up. To do that you want to bend your arms & knees as he said. Depending how high you want to leap that's how much you want to bend your legs. (Important: This proccess is not so much for your arms but for your legs, as you want to hop as a frog.) Pull as if you're going backwards & upwards motion at the same time. Also make sure you have some decent speed when you practice. Take your time. (Also really important) when you pull up, lock your arms straight while your feet are pushing up helping you leap with the bike. As you learn how to bunny hop you start to realize it's like you want to learn how to stand up with the bike pulling the handle bars towards your waist. Watch slow motion bmx bunnyhop. One was by joe bowers that I seen. See what he does first, second, third etc. & practice that yourself. It helps out alot. It's like going to school, you got to do your homework if you want to succeed.
EPAAAAAAAAAAA Buen dia¡ excelente video¡ asi mismo aprendi yo, es la misma tecnica del skate, y la tecnica de levantar la rueda trasera ayuda mucho para agarrar ciertas curvas con "un poquito de estilo"
@@CobraKyle I live in Sydney so have been lucky enough to see various incarnations of them since 1978. Really cool you like the album. Yeah hup! Can't bunny hop my road bike to save my life so will try your technique. Thanks mate!
Bruhh, so I have a 6KU road bike, I've been bunny hopping getting the hang out of it going higher & higher each time. I've also manged to go on "street ramps" anything I can find that I can jump off of & i've jumped off some really high stuff. However, my left pedal started to feel loose one day as I was riding my bike then it later came off & I noticed my pedal was damaged & scraped from the inside but Idk if it also damaged the frame of the bike. If so I might need a new bike. *THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST I SAW WHEN I WAS LEARNING HOW TO BUNNY HOP!!*
I love reading comments like this! I'm so stoked this video was helpful. I hope you don't have to end up getting a new bike. How do you like the 6KU? I've looked at those before and they seem like a great value.
@@CobraKyle Hopefully, It would suck buying a new one. If I have to buy a new one I might as well buy a bmx this time lol The 6ku is pretty cool, I usually go for a 4 hour ride with it almost daily. Lasted almost a year bunny hopping so It's pretty durable as well.
I haven't. Make sure your tube is installed correctly and not getting pinched by the rim. Also ensure your tire pressure is fairly high as to not pinch the tube.
I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
If you wanna look cool with a helmet; be a mtber with a full-face helmet, that's the legit only way I can think of, but don't look like a very young person with a full-face or any helmet, cause then you'll look cute no matter what.
Hello. They are called the Forte Boulevard Pedals. They are sold through Performance Bike. I still have these pedals on this bike and they still working good.

Natural dry humor is the best, especially if it's not really funny but it becomes funny after 5 seconds of total silence
