It's on purpose, and it makes sense. By having poorly written scams they weed out the observant and can focus on the ones they can actually fool. Having genuine looking scams attract people that won't fall for it too, and that's just wasted effort for the scammer. It's entirely intentional, so don't underestimate them.

Hi Stevie, I am a long time follower of your channel and I am from India too. So I have an answer to your question that why this particular video is disliked so much. It unfortunately does not have anything to do with the fake guitaring. It's because of an incident that happened last year. A promising and young Bollywood actor named Sushant Singh Rajput suddenly committed suicide. The reason of his suicide though is still not clear, the national media in India and the social media started widely speculating nepotism/favouritism in Bollywood to be the actual reason for Sushant's suicide. And after that the whole country started to criticise against it. An online movement named #justiceforsushant also started. The target was mainly the star-kids who kind of got a ready launch pad available to start off of their careers in Bollywood. This actress in your video is Alia Bhatt, who happens to be the daughter of a famous Bollywood director named Mahesh Bhatt. And this movie 'Sadak 2' got released after Sushant's demise. And it garnered all kinds of dislikes and hatred because of the situation. Otherwise, very sorry to say this though, most Bollywood fans dont give a shit about whether a guitar is played fake or genuinely in a movie. Sad but true. 😄

Being an Indian I was so happy and sad at the same time after watching this video! In Bollywood they don't give justice to Instruments. Vocals are too mainstream. People don't even know what the role of instruments are! If am playing a guitar solo, after 1 min they be like "where are the vocals?". This is one of the main reasons why I don't like the music genres which don't give justice to instruments like pop and stuff. Cheers to the guy who shared this vid to steve!

@@vked If you took the time to read the comment and how it is presented, you would notice that the subject of the "guifakist" (and the elitists) sentence was the movie Sadak 2; not the death of the actor.
As a Westerner with no knowledge or context of any of the controversy surrounding this film, I felt that the OP's comment did an excellent job of educating me. It also made me aware of the fact that Bollywood (allegedly, at least in present times) isn't revered or regarded highly by the general public at all. It reminds me (personally) of my disdain for Hollywood.
What makes it more impactful, of course, is the fact that Mr. Rajput may have lost his life because of this horrible, uninviting, unwelcoming, alienating atmosphere. This is sad and tragic to me, just on a human level.
Well summarized. I'd add that the director of this movie (Sadak 2) was alleged to have had a hand in Sushant's suicide - Sushant's girlfriend was supposedly very close to this director and manipulated Sushant at the director's behest, or so says the grapevine. This manipulation was said to have exacerbated his issues with depression.
