Scott Pelley, you have been one of most reliable anchors in American television news history. I've followed every day of the past six years and appreciate the investigative depth and ethical approach you took with your team on each story. You have served CBS Nightly News with distinction and integrity. Please continue to teach your excellent approach to broadcast journalism to the next generation. Looking forward to great stories on 60 minutes.

Scott Pelley: This is my last broadcast at the CBS Evening News. We hope this has been something of a lighthouse for you to help you with your bearings in a stormy world. To the men and women of CBS News, my profound gratitude
your nights away from your families, your 12 hour days, the days you risked your lives to bring light into the world leave me humbled our audience can and should take your word for granted but I know the measure of your sacrifice
James Madison once wrote that Freedom of the press is the right that guarantees all the others
The stakes are that high, and you are the best we have
Monday Anthony Mason will be here backed the same team that has carried me these 6 years the broadcast will have never been better and I’ll be at 60 minutes so for all of us at CBS News all around the world, goodbye and good luck

I think he wants to focus more on 60 Minutes, which probably allows more creative and intellectual input. He was probably doing too much with both shows. Scott Pelley is one of the best at CBS News! It’s too bad they didn’t want him to continue with the CBS Evening News. Jeff Glor was also good too. I can’t connect with Nora O’Donnell. I don’t think she’s a terrible reporter or anchor. I now watch ABC World News with David Muir. He’s very professional and brings a better presentation of the news.

bingee mambwango: Normally, I would not reply to someone of your caliber. However, this is a learning experience for me and an opportunity to help someone who is mentally ill. Nor do I use or relate to your vernacular; however, I find it interesting because it reveals who and what you are socioeconomically. As a human being, I am painfully embarrassed for you and your public display of historical ignorance.
The n-word does not apply to me or those I represent. My parents raised me to understand its origin and its history, which is one of ignorance and racism. Education is a powerful immunizer against the toxic language of racism and hate. Here again, because of the way I was raised, I remain untouched by it. Why should I internalize someone else's ignorance and mental illness?
Therefore, I have never used it or internalized it. Perhaps, it is a matter of class and education, rather, using it shows a lack thereof. More to the point, from my perspective, it applies to people like you... it belongs to you.
Are you by chance looking in a mirror? Your response is coming from a place of personal pain and projection. I take it you were rejected by your family. My heart goes out to you. It must be difficult to exist as you do.
In truth, if I had a father, brother, uncle or cousin in your condition, meaning one who wears women's clothing, I would hope that I would understand. That is why I applaud anyone with the courage to be who and what they are.
bingee mambwango, I will encourage you to Please Get Psychological Help; I pray you learn to live with yourself. Don't forget to shave your legs, get a pedicure, and switch in your mini skirts. LOL!! You Go Girl! Now, I am using your vernacular. Perhaps, you and Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez should make a connection. You seem to have a lot of issues in common. I wish both of you girls well. ;)
