When you were cutting the layout sheets, the aluminum sheet looked still damp in some areas 0:57 - 1:14 I believe that sheet wasn't totally dry where the toner didn't stick. I learned a few things here, you gave very good detail information in the comments area with references. Making your own T-track and screws was perfect for this. Saved money, and showed you don't need aluminum tracks. I'm 70, retired mechanical/electronic technician 40 years, I learned a great deal
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection th-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
monsieur, c'est la meilleure explication détaillée d'un travail que j'ai vue sur youtube pour ce qui est de la traduction moi je marque a la fin ¨ google translation¨ continues a faire des vidéos , merci pour tes renseignements.
Very informative video. I learnt a few new things.....The etching process, transferring images to aluminium, and "nonius"- or vernier. I will be watching again a few times before I make two- one for me and one for my son.
It is amazing and genius what one can do to with a bare minimum of tools to create another tool with such precision and utility. Many of us with a complete machine shop can take away the craftsmanship produced here as a lesson in modest ingenuity.
THANK YOU :-) for sharing - and for warning us about the mistakes we could make as well - and plans, and sketchup ... first class video - thanks again !!!
Not only was this great work you did, I have been wanting this very device for my Ryobi Table saw! Thanks for a great video, free plans and detailed information. This is just awesome from a true woodworker. 2 thumbs up!!
one of the best videos I have viewed and being a precision engineer, I appreciate ( and respect) the skills, attention to detail and the profound ingenuity...top marks young man!!...
One quick Tip for you. Put your Hacksaw Blades in Backwards (Teeth pointing rearwards). Works the same as the Japanese Pull-Saws for Wood, you get a cleaner, straighter cut. The Blades will never kink if they snag or jam, and they'll last longer.
Once again, you are great with greatest effort and Invention, love your Excellent experience, I saw the free plan in the description and again I can say you are creating History, your name will be written in woodworking History with Golden colours, Thank you for providing me the best knowledge and beautiful video, Zafar from Quetta Pakistan
I have downloaded most of your pdf's and fully intend to use them for my currently unfinisned workshed. It is truly inspirational to watch you work and hope to continuingly do so. :) Thankyou.
Felicidades
Thank you for your ideas. I already printed on alu, but not further that using printing ink. But it does not resist to water, so I abandonned. It is evident, but you could tell people that they must invert images before paper-printing, first mistake to avoid ! Most drawing softs can do that... What do you use for electro-erosion : fluid, position of the positive pole, timing, still some trials to do !
Wow, this is a amazing Project. i try to build that. Have long search for a Miter Gauge like this. Thank´s for That Video. Greetings from Germany Stuttgart
Hello GRINwood. What must be going on in your head to think of something like that. I find that unbelievable. I couldn't do something like that, I would have bought this device. Thank you for these incredible videos. Greetings from Germany
I use thermal transfer to make circuit boards. Although i use a Muriatic Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide bath with a fish tank air pump and stones to agiate the liquid with lots of bubbles. I would not recommend that mixture for aluminium though. The liquid gets really hot. It might work alright but keep a very close watch on it. I would however recommend that you cut the aluminium closer to its finished size before you try the transfer. All that extra aluminum acts as a heat sink and makes transfering more difficult. Glossy photo paper works best. The lightest (thinnest) is what i go for. Glossy Presentation paper works great as well and its about 1/4 the price of Photo paper. Also, printer choice is very important. A printer that let's you adjust toner density is important. I've had good luck with Canon laser printers.

Excellent!! Wow, I will take the free plans, but you really should charge for them. Even if it is just a dollar or two to cover the cost of materials. That way you will be able to buy the items for your next project. I started to watch this and had dejavou. I have been looking for this video and forgot to subscribe the first time I watched it. I am now a sub. so I don't miss any other cool builds! Thanks very much for the plan!!!!
