that evan essay is fascinating. i paused and read parts of it, and it’s really heartbreaking but so accurate. it’s cool to see how andrew gets into evan’s head before the show !
i'm rewatching these out of quarantine boredom so i'm late to the party but. it's really interesting to me to think about what it must feel like to sort of force yourself to dwell in the headspace encapsulated in the essay almost daily, especially as a teenager with your own emotional issues to deal with. like, physically this is a fairly taxing role, but it must also be incredibly emotionally challenging
When he was singing waving and he hit that high note, I clapped. I don’t care that he didn’t hear me, he deserved it. Dear Evan Hansen is my favorite musical by a landslide, and Andrew was amazing! He actually lives in the same area as me! Love you andrew!
That essay is just wow... its incredible to see how deep this story goes. I love when actors take the time to fill out the rest of the characters lives outside of the window of time the show takes place. They're alive, and its incredibly important to showcase that.

Andrew here is so innocent and wholesome and full of life... the way only a 16 year old can be. At that age, you're past the earlier angsty teen years, not yet at adulthood and the world seems to hold infinite possibilities... I miss 16. 😁
I definitely sympathize on getting up at 5 am for a 7/8 am performance. And I am in awe cause I can barely do circus at that hour so I don't know how you can sing like that that early.
