Nice scenery and nature. N47 is very fragile comparing to older M47 and M57
DPF filter is gone, empty it,otherwise you can get pressure on senzor can catch fire,on my e87 had this problem,until I got another one, I used the empty one,man,the car run like a dream.

I wish e61's weren't so rare in the us, we got slightly more e61's than e60 m5's. And all of our e61's are awd.

Thanks, yes indeed, luckily the bmw diesel engines has an engine shutoff valve, which reduces the risk of getting runaway diesel

Nice video, but changing the Timing chain is not enoug. You have to change main bearrings and rod bearrings too. This is a common Problem with N and B series engines. The are very worn after about 150-200000 km and fail very easily, as well as the bearings of the balance shafts on both sides. Its easyer to take the engine out and replace all of these.
Not for the diesel. Rods should be OK. N57 only real issue, just like N47 is timing chains.

Love your videos, have a question why was the car still emitting a lot of black smoke after the turbo replacement? Was it built up carbon or something else?
Thanks, when the turbo fails it sends a lot of oil trough the intake system, and when you replace the turbo, even clean the pipes like I did, there is still going to be some oil left inside the system, so it takes a bit of time until the oil evaporates and burns out, this time it took around 100km😊🤝

Hi, love ur vids, i got a question if you maybe know... i own an e90 320d m47 engine manual and the shifter shakes a bit when car is idling, in neutral and in gears it shakes, but when i start driving it stops shaking and everything is fine.. is that normal on these models?
Thanks, hmm that sounds interesting, but i would suspect engine/gearbox mounts, but it is common for bmw manual cars to vibrate a bit on the shifter since it's a straight linkage
@@EMSGARAGEE61 yes i had the same thought about the linkage, its not a big shake its like uh its like small shake.. it has 210k km on clock
@@EMSGARAGEE61 ive thought its dual mass flywheel but it doesnt make any noise, just the clutch that vibrates a bit when i put my foot on it... It doesnr vibrate when pressed
