@@kahoaliiaiu7130 You should join the US Marine Corps for yourself, you must want to become a US Marine for all the right reasons. It was pretty tough in boot camp when I volunteered to go in and go to Vietnam. I grew up in Vietnam as a kid and my wife grew up there also. I’ve been back there many times and was planning to retire there at my home that I inherited from my first wife but it’s just too hot and muggy to wanna live there, so I live in the next best place, Hawaii. I’m glad to see that you wanna honor your grandfather but I’m not sure that he’d really want you to go through what we’ve been through. My wife and I just had this very same conversation just last year with my son, who just turned 18 just a few months ago. My grandfather was in the Vietnam War and he never talked about it to me and so I never asked him about it and he was a 0331 Machine Gunner and he was 3/2 (3rd Marine 2nd Battalion) and he came out of Hawaii and he was stationed in Hawaii when he was sent to Vietnam and he got shot three times one in his leg one on his shoulder and one that hit his radio and saved his life and my cousin and I got his Purple Heart and I’m hanging it on for him and so I’m a grandfather that fought in the Vietnam war and served in the Marines for 20 years got out as an E-9 (Master Gunnery Sergeant) and he always a Marine and he got PTSD when he got out and never talked about it to me so I never asked him about it because he was scared to talk about it to me and so I never asked him about it Once a Marine Always a Marine And so I’m always a grandson of a Marine Oorah
Great video! I think this museum is over by the airport and the only reason I have not seen it yet. Plus when I was in DC in May & June of this year, they still had frost warnings and it was a lot colder than I anticipated. I went to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall for the ceremony with my uniform and VIP seating but it started raining but got heavier and heavier to the point that I spent five days in bed with a cold and missed out on playing radio and going to all the museums. That is why I’m planning to go for two weeks again next May with a couple of my buddies from VVA Chapter 858 and try to hit those museums again. BTW, have you done a video yet on the International Spy Museum? If not, I would ❤ to tag along to see how this video thing is all done from behind the camera. Let me know and I’ll send ya my email and have some fun. I still have a bunch of your videos to watch yet today, a lot of catching up to do. Todd WH6DWF 🇺🇸
As a former Navy Corpsman that served w/the Marines in Nam I’ve been to this museum several times. It’s an amazing experience that I highly recommend.
Thanks for watching! And thanks for your service!

Incredible film. This is the best museum tour film I’ve ever seen.

The Army museum at Fort Belvior is a must see imo.
It definitely is. If you look back may be a couple weeks ago or maybe a month ago I have a video on that museum.
One of my favorite museums in the DMV. Great video! 👍
Thanks for watching!

Yes it is
What do you need to go in ? Or you just walk in ?
Nothing needed. Free parking and then you just walk right in.
They said the modern day one was gonna be done in like 2016
I wonder if it is done yet, this vid was at least 1 year ago probably 2
🇺🇸God bless the United States Marine Corps.🇺🇸🗽
