Chris, good day! Please tell me, can the Rab latok mountain gtx jacket let water into the pockets through the ykk zippers?

They are AquaGuard zippers, they should be able to keep water out. I have not tested the zippers on this jacket, so I can't say with 100% confidence.

good to see a review like this. i bought the mountain equipment lhotse in xxl and it was great all over except it was stupidly tight under the arms. if you're broad or have build like a rugby player or have large shoulders you will be choked under the arm pits. it was the only bit of the jacket that was bad fitting and a total dissapointment. it happens with a lot of clothing manufacturers ive found but always seems a bit daft if youre going to offer an xxl or xl jacket, surely they need to make allowance for large builds or athletic muscular builds instead of climbers built like a pencil. hopefully ill pick up one of these jackets and see if it solves this issue. i have only seen one small typed review that mentioned this problem with the lhotse as everyone else seems to rave about it as pure perfection.

The Arc'teryx Alpha SV is sized quite large, it's expensive, but it's built like a tank.

Good review. there is also Rab Latok Gore-Tex Pants which I think is important to add to complete waterproofness.

At some point, I will do some reviews on the pants as well. I have a few reviews on some pants from Arc'teryx, but I need to expand on that.

Is the "mountain" version helmet compatible?

      no, it doesn't

You may be right, It's actually not listed as a helmet compatible hood. However, it is still a large hood. I wear it over my Arc'teryx Thorium and Cerium SV hoods without any problem. I thought that it would be large enough to fit over a helmet. Thank you for clarification. I honestly thought that it would be helmet compatible, as it is still pretty roomy.@@konstantinfrank7243
