Irrad, Kyle,Kairi and Karl have their own versions of puncture chains, Irrad and Kyle look like freestyle montage style(Irrad better defensive puncture, Kyle better offensive puncture)
While Kairi and Karl look more smooth and calculated(Kairi better at escape,Karl better at Initiate/wipeouts)
it is basically saying that Irrad=Kairi as Kyle=Karl.
Good utilization of Lance's puncture for defensive purposes will lead to better escape as per situation so required while using it with offensive intent will open up the opportunity for a potential wipeout.
Although it is still doable for Lance to initiate while being defensive but wouldn't it raise the question of Roamer's relevance? I don't know. Maybe it's just my personal preference.
