Enjoyed the video. Nice spaces makes me want a basement. Got the idea to seal my plywood top workbench and already have a new rod rack to install. I am just waiting for the weather to break so I can pull everything out and put everything back the way I want it.
Looks Fantastic Paul... can't wait to see the new lighting set-up and ceiling finish. I've had the same KK spinning rod holder for a while now and totally love it too! My favorite part of Jeff's is the family history being included.... that is so so cool! I also love the nod to his wife's love of wood working in the video... My husband supports my love of woodworking/building stuff as well.... getting ready to build a kayak and paddleboard storage setup for the side of our house and free up some garage space next, so seeing what you guys did has me inspired!
Awesome job guys. Nicely thought out and executed. My garage is also my home gym, so my rod/reels are all in a homemade rack attached to the ceiling, and gear on shelves built onto one wall.
Wow, fine job Paul. 850! As long as your area is comfortable and everyone has their own idea how to organize. Work benches that you can actually work on and equipment visible to 🔥. Nice to Jeff, we just seen Paul’s before and after. Ugh thanks for the ideas and motivation!
I've been working on my garage for a year now and it takes alot of work!!lol but it will definitely be worth it..if i could only get the neighbor hood kids to quit borrowing my gear.. great video
Great job Paul and Jeff you guys put a lot of work in your Bass caves these builds gives me a lot of ideas when I put mine together. The best thing about watching you go through your builds I was listening to the theme song of Adam West “Batman” in my head well done guys well done! Tight .lines take care and God Bless.
You’ve done well. I had a midlife accomplishment and built a massive, fully finished, radiant-floor-heated garage/workshop, but of course the fish grows into the size of the bowl. Continuing to work on organization. Workshop half has been the priority, but garage area is next. Kayak cart has been on the list, scrap wood is in the middle of the workshop floor (double win when it gets eaten up and turned into a cart). Rod holder build is also in the list, but hitting the easy-button with those Kastking ones is tempting. Long term I would like to do a kayak hoist: pro is my cathedral ceiling is 16’ at the peak fully clearing everything below, con is my ceiling is 16’ at the peak and that install won’t be fun. I fully agree that Menards workbench is a good value (have one in my garage).
If I hear it up with a propane burner I can run a space heater as long as I want and Itll be like 65. The door helps but it’s not keeping it that warm without help
Btw, the BlackPak is a killer ice fishing storage to carry in your sled! Holds 2-3 Plano, general stuff for the day and hold your rods nicely. Don’t store your BlackPak during ice season, use it!
You want some "cord management" gear? 🤓**had to come back with an edit! Big Lots and several other large box stores are going out of business and/or consolidating and I was recently able to pick up commercial shelving capable of holding pallets, 20'w X 10'h X 5'd @ $80/unit! I moved everything off the floor and to the back of the 5 ft deep shelf up against the wall, leaving about 3x20 ft of workspace. Peg board on both sides like end caps, holds rods and reels on one side and lures and tackle on the other. I was able to rebuild my unusable 2 car garage into storage and parking for my wife on one side and hunting/fishing/drag racing man cave on the other side for me, for $100.

That sounds like a great set up!
wow looks great!
I really enjoy seeing real-life problems and solutions. And real people showing their life. Thanks for being relatable. Great setups.
Great job… lots of good ideas here.
Appreciate it, hopefully it sparks some inspiration!
I’m envious. And Jeff, I have a son who was born in ‘88. Great year!
Great idea. That Ned rig shirt is hilarious. The juicy painIS it should say. I’d never purchase a shirt with that shape of a bait on it. 😂😂
What do yall think of the setup?
Dope
Paul I give a 4😂… kidding 888 out of a Thouwow. Jeff solid 1000/1000 because of the garage steaks 🥩
Paul will have a 1000/1000 when completed also
Makes me wish I had a garage !
Awesome! Walls could use a little paint lol

Nice builds, guys! Took a few simple things away from this. Paul's auger of death on the floor brought flashbacks to the day 😂
Right!?
I've been working on my garage for a year now and it takes alot of work!!lol but it will definitely be worth it..if i could only get the neighbor hood kids to quit borrowing my gear.. great video
That’ll do it haha
Do you want to do karate in the garage?
YEP!!!!!!!
Great job Paul and Jeff took a few ideas from this video thank you guys
Been dying for a video like this. Love seeing peoples gear collection. Some good inspiration here as well.

Glad you like them!
This is crazy man
Solid 8.5 great job

Dang those rooms and garages are sick. I see you both have huge rod collections can yall show ya rods off and show us your top 10 favorites each.
Yeah we can do that
Nice setup Paul. How's the foot?
Healing up nicely!
Lookin good fellas. I feel like I'm always reorganizing my garage.
I hear you, it feels like a constant battle!

Sounds awesome!
I uesd $12 pool cue holders and got 28 rods on the wall and organized
Smart!
Do you have a recommendation on a micro tackle box that you would be able to just put in your pocket
Ok, I legit laughed out loud at the dead body in the thrift store find 😂😂😂
💀
@@paulglass7268 glad to see you guys doing well. Love both setups.
Looking great i just have to ask how many times do you think that you will be changing it
Not much
Does the insulated door actually keep the garage warm enough in winter?
If I hear it up with a propane burner I can run a space heater as long as I want and Itll be like 65. The door helps but it’s not keeping it that warm without help

Already planning some stuff 🤘🏼

One quick question for Paul, how did you create the brick wall background in your basement?
Hurry up Spring.
Super easy, drop cloth
Hey guys if any alternate motor comes out for the xi3 let me know, im buying a new canoe unlimited this summer and want a bow motor. If anything comes out pls let me know, I rather not use the NK 300 but if nothing comes out soon then thats what ill have to buy.
Check the nucanoe website, you can get the minnkota terrova or power drive. We just bought the power drive and will be installing it soon
Do you have a link for the ole work bench
We don’t have a link, just look up Performax Workbench on Menards’ website
I built an 8 X 10 fishing shed in the backyard, but do not store kayak in there...
I like them both! But y'all didn't show the area you keep all the fishing crap you know you should get rid of but can't. 😄
I saw that rugby ball what position were you
Do you have a recommendation on a micro tackle box that you would be able to just put in your pocket
Plano makes pretty small boxes, Spro makes some too
The Mule Fishing box is pretty good as well.
