Several observations: 1) you’re 100% on your analysis of Elaine and Amber dynamic when verdict read - there’s no way that was the first thing said in that room; 2) take a look at the contrast between Rottenborn’s reaction to the verdict vs Elaine’s (very different); 3) I think fealty might be more accurate than fidelity; 4) Whitney does a quick glance to her left as they’re walking to the truck - she’s “asking” if Amber wants to be in the front seat and then redirects when amber moves towards the back seat; and 5) Whitney reaches for her phone (not casually like she’s done it a million times, this was intentional - look how assertive the gesture is), which makes sense because my guess is she’s going directly to social media to see reaction to the verdict and try to get ahead of the narrative; oh and 6) Whitney’s face displays all the signs of aggression and frustration/anger - Amber is sad, Whitney is angry…how’d I do?

I'm not so sure about Whitney grabbing her phone. I do the same thing before getting in the car if my phone is in my back pocket... They aren't exactly comfortable to sit on.
And the assertiveness about the grab could be due to her wanting to get out of the line of cameras/Depp fans screaming asap.
I'm very curious who was in the back seat and put their arm around heard when she got in the truck.

I agree with you too. In 1991 I was stabbed by my partner and back then women were just getting to have a voice . It used to be the same with SA victims they used to be blamed and torn apart by the defense team. Times have really changed and Amber has put a taken air out of the tires and setting things back to the old days. We know she lied over and over again. I came into this very neutral as I have never seen any of the pirate movies not a big fan of either. I heard about him abusing her in the news years ago. But if I had any opinion going in it would have been with her. But as I heard the evidence ,the fist thing that really put me off was the knife. No way would a person who is abused give her abuser a knife . NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS .! ALSO she inscribed it " Till death " that sounds more like a threat from her.

I find it totally perplexing that Elaine is so determined to draw everyone's attention to the UK trial - it doesn't make Amber look any better! In fact, if you look at the differences between Amber's deposition from 2016, her testimony in the UK trial, and her testimony in this trial, you can see just how much she changed her story.
The accounts of their time in Australia are so different that they sound like different events, but they're all essentially "here's what happened to Johnny's finger." She did see the finger get injured. Wait, no she didn't. Wait, yes she did. Wait, no, she was asleep because she took sleeping pills. It was the bottle breaking on his hand, but he did it. No, it was him waving around a broken bottle. No, it was him smashing a phone. Her feet were injured. No, her arms were injured.
My point is: Elaine, why are you so focused on people seeing more evidence that your client lied?

    • @nadimfetaih3841
      @nadimfetaih3841 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I think the thing people often forget about the UK trial is that it was against the Sun, and all the Sun had to prove was that at the time of writing they believed what they wrote to be true. ANY evidence against Heard that came after the article was written didn't matter, Heard's account didn't matter. All that mattered was what information the Sun could have possibly gathered - all of which pointed to Depp being an abuser.
I think THIS is what Elaine is counting on people not acknowledging when she refers to the UK trial. She wants people to assume it was the same sort of trial ("a tale of two trials"). This is the thing they're banking on and manipulating their language to confirm.
This trial, however, was whether or not AMBER knew it was a lie - which she obviously did. New evidence could come to light, questioning Amber's account could occur, pointing to the REAL victim could happen. None of this was possible in the UK trial. It would have been completely worthless - hence why Depp didn't "tell his truth".

Elaine had the chance to move on after this embarrassment. Now her outright lying, insulting the judge, the jury and the public, she has lost all credibility and respect anyone had for her professionally or personally, destroying her own career. Camille's career success will now skyrocket as Elaine digs a grave for her own career and reputation. Even her claiming the UK trial was the same and proved Amber was truthful is an outright lie, and anyone with even basic legal knowledge knows this. The UK case was simply deciding whether The Sun had a reasonable right to take as a source someone in the marriage, and whether that source was truthful or not was irrelevant. This trial was specifically whether Amber herself was lying, which she was proven to be lying maliciously....very different legal question. The only evidence not allowed in this trial was what would have helped Depp, and Amber herself testified she did not have medical records because she didn't need medical care, making Elaine an outright liar, contradicting her own client's testimony.

Absolutely on your side! I’ve read so many amazing articles about Elaine..about what an actual master mind she allegedly is in the world of lawyers..she was granted with so much stuff, because the people claimed her to be one of the best lawyers of the US state she’s in. She could’ve just closed her mouth after that and move on - nobody would’ve said a thing about it and would’ve thought: well, poor Elaine was just doing her best at trying to defend her clients points.
But the fact that she’s out there now, after accusing someone of “seeking fifteen minutes of fame” is just so freaking weird and makes me think: WHERE is this allegedly amazing lawyer?
Maybe we lost that lawyer between dogs stepping on bees and dogs pooping on beds.😪
      What a shame.

The UK trial was rigged. The Judge happened to be the father of a big shot working at The Sun, but somehow never recused himself, no "conflict of interest " straight kangaroo court. No way it should have been allowed and if I were JD, I'd sue everyone involved in that scam 1 by 1

Also, one of the attorneys ( on the Fox Channel, said that she has defended Women of Domestic Abuse for 30 years, and that Amber Does Not represent them, because she’s a Liar. I'm 5 days late and I imagine you won't see this but when I saw that last clip live after the verdict I had an immediate reaction to Whitney's little glance. I felt it. I've done that glance.
It's the glance you do when you're frightened of someone's reaction. Whether she looked sad during verdict or not, I believe Whitney was anticipating rage from Amber. When you're subservient to someone close to you you're constantly monitoring their changing mood to appease them/not step on a landmine.
Possibly projection on my part, but I saw myself in Whitney in that moment. She's not comforting her, she's not demonstrating compassion, she's not being tender - she's nervous/scared of her.

@Bobbi Cat I see in situations like this that the person who is the aggressor has people around them who are constantly trying to cover up the abuse by trying to handle the person, and knowing that they most likely will get bit. They are constantly making up stuff to smooth things over to limit the fallout. They are never in a state of calm. They are ducking and dodging and desperately trying to not make it blow up. My mother was exactly like Amber and perhaps Johnny's mother. I was the one who was the keeper of all things family. When one of my siblings did something that would set her off, I ran out ahead and tried to simmer down the attitude of my mother. I always got burned in every instance. But, I continued this until the day she died. And I was exhausted. I hated being the one who was the keeper of all things family. Each member dumped on me and my mother, who did not have a rational thought, fought all the way. And after the smoke cleared from that particular time, my siblings dumped on me. I was named the bitch of the family by all to my face. But I was in the cycle of most DV relationships. I was the strongest one. The job was passed to me because of this. And I played that role, getting depressed every passing year until I snapped and I had a full mental breakdown like Johnny Depp had. And to heal I had to examine myself and own the part I played. And I had to restructure myself into a role where I was not that person anymore. It cost me too much. And I also had to find a way to forgive when they were so unforgivable. And I made a way. They are still my siblings and she is still my mother. I do not have to like the way I was treated but in order to get past it I had to find a way to let it go. I forgave the situations. Not to say that it was OK to treat me like that because it was not. I had to forgive their way of thinking and move on. I can't change what happened but I can change how I react to it. And it doesn't own me anymore. I am a better person for having done the work to get myself in a safer place. And I am OK with that.

She is putting herself in this superior role, like she's the official rep of all DV victims 🤮🤮🤮 It's gross and very telling of her motives. A REAL victim would have had NO problem telling their truth and convincing a jury of what happened. She destroyed her own case by repeatedly lying and gaslighting and manipulating. She's shown the world that women do lie about abuse, to great extents and that is how she let down real victims. She has potentially made it harder to be believed. But I also think maybe shes made it easier in a way. She showed everyone what a liar looks like, so now when a real victim comes forward it will be clear as day they're telling the truth. Hopefully.

I personally know this, having dealt with an abusive female just like Amber, I was happy to see this exposed. I was a DV victim. Just because you’re a male or female doesn’t exclude you from being an abuser and also doesn’t mean you’re telling the truth. Ppl believe who’s telling the truth, nobody’s gender determines the truth. AH didn’t do ANY of this for other women, she did it for herself; to better her own financial and social positions. AH hates the public currently, and only cares about what anyone is thinking or feeling about her because it’s largely negative. Almost everyone can see right through her and her mountain of lies and deceptions. I believe AH threw a FIT after the jury’s decisions. My evidence on my opinion is how quickly she left the courtroom; leaving her sister in the dust, scurrying behind. Her face and body language was that of an angry person.

Some evidence is not admissible in court. The texts saying he cried when I told him he kicked you would not be admissible because it would be considered hearsay. @e.starling141 2 ปีที่แล้ว +21

It's such crap because the only evidence suppressed was evidence that doesn't hold up in the US court system. And the exact same thing happened to Johnny's side. The most substantial to me (which wasn't kept out because it was hearsay like ambers) was the Australian recording revealing that it WAS in fact Amber who cut off Johnny's fingertip. She's on the audio herself upset and saying she didn't mean to hurt him. And then the fact that their private Dr and nurse are having (what they thought was) a private conversation and are discussing that Amber is the problem and is clearly feeling guilty, says a lot. And the fact act that at no point are they asking Amber if she's OK or acting likes she's been injured and needs help at all. Which according to Amber's story was the case. (Busted lip, broken nose, black eye etc.) There's no way we wouldn't have heard that addressed on the recording. And the kicker about all of this to me is that Amber is the one who was secretly recording all of this. Pretty obvious she had forgot she even had it going.

It was out of state and I was alone, and I only met my attorney in person, 30 minutes beforehand. When it was over and I had won, (My ex had no contact for 6 years, filed and was awarded custody without my knowledge, then tried to have me arrested for kidnapping a child who had been with me since I gave birth to him), my wonderful attorney turns to me and smiles and says "you look like you need a hug," and he gave me a great big bear hug. That unexpected moment of genuine kindness, released all my anxiety and terror. The fact that Amber's attorney's have no real emotional connection with their client speaks volumes especially when juxtaposed with how cohesive and supportive Johnny's team is with him and each other.

I’ve been disgusted watching Amber Heard throughout this case. I have been through many counts of abuse through my life, mostly sexual and emotional trauma. My first abuse started when I was just 5 years old, when a female schoolmate claimed me as her “best friend punching bag” and would molest me, beat me, choke me, poison me, and isolate me from others. Her mother, who was also my Girl Scout Troop leader, would also touch me and look at me inappropriately, force me to shower with her daughters, threaten me, isolate me, and lock me in the basement. I was always blamed, and even witnesses to the abuse never helped me. This abuse lasted until sixth grade when this family moved away. We had no cell phones or digital stuff back then, so I had no proof other than my word and the cuts and bruises. My mother suspected nothing, and I was too ashamed and scared to tell her. I know my mom would have killed her if she had known what was happening back then. The actual trauma is nothing compared to never having someone stand up for me, protect me, or clear my name. Since then, I have come to terms with the abuse, but I have never recovered from the total lack of protection, and my voice never being taken into consideration. When I have watched this trial, all I can think is how privileged this woman was to be able to have a platform and technology to capture real proof of her alleged abuse, and she *wasted* it, and totally blew it off like it wasn’t important to her to capture. My abuse WAS every single day, and sometimes overnight. It WAS commonplace and expected. I NEVER stopped trying to get someone to help me at school, even as a introverted traumatized 5 year old. I NEVER stopped telling that horrible woman that I did nothing wrong and I wanted to go home to my mother. How an abuse survivor could be questioned about her abuse and talk about it so nonchalantly and flippantly is so beyond my comprehension. I don’t have to hear a single word of her testimony. I can clearly see by her act that she is faking it all. She behaves just like the little girl who used to beat me and laugh at my crying, who would deny ever touching me even though I was still red from her standing over me and slapping me for a full minute only moments prior. If I lost this case, it would be EXTREMELY hard to control my reaction. I would be ugly crying. I certainly wouldn’t be sitting in interviews telling the media “of course they believed him, I don’t blame them.” WTF. Seriously. This whole thing is gross. She uses a Me Too movement as a tool to gaslight the public for her own selfish publicity. How dare she use us “rando’s” like that. Pitiful and disgusting. Thank you Spidey for helping me understand why her behavior makes my skin crawl. Before, I couldn’t understand why I just couldn’t believe her. Now I have words for it. Thank you.

The MeToo movement isn't about believing all women, its about believing victims and giving them a fair shot in court since we also need to believe the accused are innocent until proven guilty. I absolutely agree that this wasn't a loss for DV victims, it was definitely a winning case.

Johnny Depp winning was a huge break through for men suffering in silence in fear that they won’t be taken serious. If two people are constantly fighting each other, violent verbally and physically to each other you don't claim Domestic Abuse. And I believe those two were toxic to each other and Amber tried to pass this as DA. Is like when a woman decides to fight with a man and makes it his fault when she loses the fight, by saying he is the stronger sex. Both men and women need to keep their hands to themselves. On the point of Elaine's "it's a tale of 2 trials, Johnny had his chance to tell the truth in London..." - I watched a video of a Barrister from the UK reviewing the trial verdict from the UK trial and the amount of things the judge completely disregarded as evidence in Johnny's favour was shocking. The judge actually said the audio recording of amber saying "I wasn't punching you I was hitting you, you're such a baby" etc. wasn't as strong evidence as testimony in court due to the fact that witnesses have to swear under oath in court. But Amber has proven to the world she can boldly lie about evidence right in front of her under oath in court. They were also able to use past indiscretions in the UK trial and the judge didn't have any issue with Amber asking if should could get her former assistant make a false statement or that she took her dogs into Australia illegally and had tried to lie and falsify documents for that too. So basically the UK trial verdict was a shit show from a corrupt judge who had connections to the newspaper Johnny was suing!

The other glaring issue with Elaine B.'s "tale of 2 trials" is, the UK trial was the Sun proving that the statement they made wasn't false, nor defamation. How do they prove it? By AH giving her testimony and witnesses backing up that she has said these things. The point wasn't to prove that what she said was true, only that she did indeed say it. Since she did say it, it wasn't defamation. The law and the truth don't always come to an agreement, especially because the law is much more concerned with definitions rather than morality. That being said, I do think it's necessary for the law to be that way, and a jury helps to balance it.

In order to succeed on a motion to suppress, Ben must’ve presented sufficient factual information and apply specific laws to those facts to convince the judge that her evidence was illegal. Certainy that the UK judge allowed different evidence. Keep in mind their laws are different, including what they allow as evidence. It's also true that timing played a part - for example, the UK judge used Heard's pledge to donate as evidence that she was probably wasn't a gold digger as accused. He extended the statement to her character to her, and he likely took the accusation as a statement about Depp's willingness to sling mud, and honestly at that point in time that was probably a reasonable conclusion. Now in the US trial that same pledge going unfulfilled, and the ways she tried to avoid admitting that, did the opposite - it eroded her character and bolstered his. It became a case of "See? I told you before and you didn't believe me, but I was right - what else have I been telling you all along?"

      @@anitawatch what Kavanagh trial?
Are you saying you don't believe Blasey Ford but you believe a guy who couldn't keep his composure while being asked basic & routine questions during his confirmation hearing?
A grown man who, during a judicial confirmation hearing to determine whether he should sit on the highest court in the land, couldn't remain calm, threatened those he viewed as opposition, literally cried & just short of threw a tantrum, he became combative when asked about his drinking, literally _yelled_ in response when confronted with several interrogatories, evaded direct questions, & deflected any question he didn't feel like answering? Not to mention we now know he lied in his response to questions about roe v wade.
Is this the temperament of a judge? Is this the behavior of someone that we, as a country, can depend on as unbiased & rational when presented with the variety of cases & litigants that will come before him as a judge? I've never seen anything like his confirmation hearing, it was a circus & he was the clown. And by lying about any one thing, he's shown he will lie about anything. He was unable to hold his composure when he was confronted with Ford's allegations & behaved exactly opposite of the way we saw Depp behave, yet he was falsely accused?

She can be reflective in private without airing it out on public television. I'm sure she has plenty of things she regrets about the trial, but airing those things publicly would likely to more to harm her and Amber's image than help.
At the end of the day, she's only doing these interviews in order to attempt to improve the public perception of herself and Amber. Anything that could be perceived negatively towards either of them will be dodged because that's simply not why she's there.

My perception of the ending part, where Amber and her team leave - with a huge time and space delay between them - is this: Amber, as we heard in the segments of audio played during the trial, can be quite aggressive when she is frustrated. I believe no one asked her "are you ok?" because they all know it could ignite some kind of furious behavior, and that includes her sister. In other words, everybody is afraid, or rather terrified, of Amber's reaction after losing the case. That's why the team waits a long time before she leaves, they want to take some space from the real abuser in this case.

You know I haven't thought about that but I think you're right on the money. I'm incredibly curious how well she was able to hold her temper behind the scenes. It's possible that Elaine sees her as" the victim" simply because she's female.. if they were both being aggressive then, to some people , the female would automatically fall into the victim role in their mind. Regardless of the reality of the situation.
I do feel sorry for her. I hope somehow she finds the self-awareness to start working on herself- to actually realize she needs to. Until someone chooses to try to improve, it doesn't matter how many therapists they see. I hope she can find stability and happiness with...,& For her child.

What makes the verdict “surprising” is that when they went into the trial Amber had the law on her side, the law wasn’t on Johnny’s. It is very hard to prove defamation, the odds were stacked against Johnny but he had so much evidence and Amber didn’t the sides switched. A lot of lawyers only thought that Johnny would win on only one count but he won all three. The jury saw through Amber and said that by law she was lying. Another thing; there was no jury only a judge who found Johnny guilty. I saw an attorney from the UK who explained what happened. He said in the UK he is called a Barrister those guys who wear a black robe and a white wig. They are the people who actually go to court, but someone else prepares the case and the other is a ( ? can't remember ) I think he said Solicitor who prepares the case. This man said Johnny didn't get a fair trial because the court believed Amber and there is no jury so it is easy to win in the UK whereas in the states one has to convince 12 people (or 7 in this case of defamation). Then I listened to a defense attorney who said in order for AH to appeal her case she has to come up with cash money for BOND. All of the court costs, the attorney fees, the payout, so she has to produce $15 million dollars. Intresting. Elaine is lying about the UK "trial."

Edit: after reading some more about the UK case, it seems i was wrong, the judge found 11 out of 13 (or something) claims of abuse to be true, but the way he arrived at that judgement was ridiculous. It was more an opinion, as he said AH was under oath so she must be telling the truth, so the audio recordings can be discarded. So there was no proof needed, he just decided that she is right and that was it.

Such a great video. I wasn’t a huge fan of Elaine during the trial, but this gaslighting has made me legitimately angry.

How about you start focusing your anger against "the movement which allowed AH to make her BS claims in the first place"? FEMINISM!
There needs to be a second, third, fourth "women's movement" ... to make it clear that WOMEN ARE NOT A MONOLITH and that they have different hopes and dreams for their future and that FEMINISM ONLY SPEAKS FOR A TINY PART OF THEM!
IMO feminism has ALWAYS been evil, because it turned the relationship between man and woman from a SYMBIOSIS into a COMPETITION! There have certainly been men who "didnt appreciate enough what their wives did for them", but you can fix that by educating them ... instead of starting an all-out WAR between the sexes.

I've given Brederhoft's performance in these 2 media interviews more thought because it bothered me that she took time to embrace Heard after the hearing was closed. This suggests to me that, at least at that moment, she understood why the jury delivered the the verdict they did (I refer to Chew's remark in another interview that Brederhoft is a competent lawyer) and understood that, in fact, their evidence was not persuasive, but she wasn't empathic toward Heard and consoling her client wasn't her first, instinctive reaction. Brederhoft was watching Depp's legal team first and, it seemed to me, decided to emulate them by embracing Heard. My intuitive feeling is that having to deal with a very public "hard loss" Brederhoft is more interested in saving her professional reputation. Brederhoft complains about the presence of television cameras in the court room, something that I understand is almost ubiquitous in America, the role of social media and the preponderance of Depp fans in the audience versus Heard supporters. None of this is relevant to the case or the jury's findings but can have a huge impact on Brederhoft's professional reputation and future career, which she is now desperate to save. This is why she is avoiding to answer Burleson's question and instead she deviates and distracts. The approach I see here seems to be the same one she applied in the court room : make unprovable allegations based on weak evidence and blame everyone but one's self. I'm not impressed. Reality is always more nuanced. It's also telling that she did not bring Rottenborn with her either interview. His performance in the court room was as rotten and Vasquez's was impressive. They're so bad that I wouldn't recommend either to my adversary, should I find myself involved in litigation.

Yeah a judge hearing The Sun would have been interested in hearing if The Sun made up things, and the judge would be satisfied with anything Amber said, that no, The Sun did get this info from somewhere, they didn't just invent it on their own to be malicious. That doesn't make anything she said true. That doesn't mean just because the judge said The Sun did not defame Depp, that the judge could write in stone that what Amber alleged was true.
