Second, maybe the best player is not actually playing at his best, maybe because he's having a bad day, or slept really few hours, didn't eat well, etc. To further prove my point, Zen won against Daniel in a 1v1 showmatch, but some days later, Daniel won. Does this mean Daniel got better and he's better than Zen? No, it doesn't. RW9 lost against Mawkzy and Daniel, but could beat Zen two times. Does this mean Zen is worse than Mawkzy and Daniel? Absolutely not, Zen could beat them both before playing against RW9. In other words, RW9 is not the better player, but his playstyle counters Zen's, and that's about it. The only way of proving if a player is actually better, is having them play like 80 or 100 games and the player that won like 65% or more of those games could be considered the better player. Out of seven games you cannot see who's better, unless the player won like 4 games in a row with a lot of goals.

My teammate i duo queue with is an insane ball chaser and thinks he's crazy at the game, when in reality the only reason he is getting goals is off my defense into passes to him when he's still upfield rotating to their back boost while im in a 2v1.

Better solution in this moment would have been: Radosin should've earlier noticed that he was committing + then covering the mid field again + getting some pads from the mid (he was still close enough for that) - all that would've worked cz it wasn't scoreable for AtomiK. &Ik that Radosin saw a possible challenge cz of the relatively hard bounce of the backboard but tbh Dorito was in an awkward recovery, AtomiK was able to see that & still close enough to the ball (car language) and due to that, AtomiK went back to the ball. No chance for a challenge from Radosin. Yaix.

My only comment on how you do commentary versus other games is that would series of Tetris is super hype. And the only reason it's that hype is the announcers. Big reason is that they're genuine in their excitement. It makes the videos. You have a great commentary, but don't knock the "fake" excitement. If it's genuine it's hype building.
I think Johnny would agree that *if* the excitement is genuine it builds hype. Certainly that's been the case with the tetris competitions I've watched - it's hype because the announcers are translating the incredible but abstract accomplishments of the players into something that resonates with the audience, there's nothing fake or even "fake" there. That doesn't seem like what Johnny was knocking.

It definitely tells you something of course about certain the skills of the players, but many important aspects are completely lacking, such as rotation, passing, all sorts of team tactical plays, and comms (!). It's just different in my opinion.

Zen is incredible, but easily the most overrated player in rocket league by a mile right now. He can score a single flip reset into a regular shot and the chat will go more wild than atomik scoring a crazy double reset.
