I think all of these kick ass bands are coming back because the MAJORITY of us are SICK of autotuned, assembly line bullshit "music". I welcome these artists coming back to show the young ones what it takes to make REAL music.
"The Cult" never ever gets old. I find myself listening to music, but I like forget it let's here "The Cult". Reminds me of back in ,1991 Amsterdam Holland. Best time of my life. Stayed at the Holidome (Holiday inn). Took a train to Amsterdam. Coffee tea shops . Last stop was "The Hard Rock Cafe". Bart was the bartender. You just told him what you wanted to hear and he had everything. We (my sister's) said the Cult. He put a vhs cassette in watched the cult on all tvs it was awesome
Wow! Ian definitely gets his energy from long hair! Best vocals and energy by him in years! Billy always brings it and nails it! Great performance. Many thanks for posting! 🎸🎤😎👍
Just saw them for the 6th time Sept18th 2022. Still great. One of my favourite bands. First Concert I saw The Cult was in 1986. Thank you. God bless you. 💗➕💗🎸😇
Saw this and thought, couldn't be for real. Must be a cover band. The instant I saw Duffy's guitar, I sat back and enjoyed it like I just saw them at the Beacon Theatre in NYC back in '86! Thanks for sharing!
Man….these boys still going strong….used to drive 100 miles a day in late 80s and early 90s and The Cult was all I listened to…..Man…I loved The Cult….
The cult nailed this song that night . this is one those concerts you could only dream you were at. with the New York skyline in the background beautiful song and venue .great job.
I've been lucky enough to see these guys 3 times over the years and they were better each time. During Covid my 22 year old daughter made an 80s playlist and asked what songs she should have and I told her you couldn't have the 80s without THE CULT and now I've created a MONSTER as she is now a CULT fanatic! Going to see them live is on her bucket list so we'll see but if come anywhere remotely close to us we'll be there!
Saw them during the Electric tour at the MSG Theater. They were opening for Billy Idol at stadiums but MSG had an unsafe ceiling issue so the Cult moved to the smaller venue and played an extended set.
Back in the late 80's I went to a a Cult concert at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver and Ian kicked the microphone stand up to catch it in the air. He wrecked his foot. The band played instrumental versions of their songs while EMT's fitted him in a cushioned boot. He was back at it pronto limping -- but it wasn't slowing him down.
Saw the show in Houston at 713 Music Hall - SOOO GOOD!!!! Ian and Billy are captivating. Seen the Cult about 5 times and I would easily go 5 more. Such great memories from this band!
I have a ticket to see them in Phoenix on November 20th. I'm getting excited! I bought a Gretsch guitar about a year ago. Now I know why Billy loves that Gretsch guitar! 😀😎
Just seen The Cult in Halifax, England. Totally electric, music, vocals just amazing. Billy keeps on going brilliant guitarist and Ian's vocals awesome not to forget the drummer and base guitarist were top class.
Первый раз услышал это песню в TH-cam по запросу самая крутая рок песня. И результат был эта песня, в ней эти парни молодые. В костюмах. После этого я подсел на них и скачал все песни. В телефоне плейлист.
After the Cult show at StageWest Hartford in I think 1986 I asked the road crew guy what one of Bill Duffy’s effects pedals was - being from the UK he answered “that’s ahn aneelawg deelhay”.
Se imaginan si The Cult vuelve nuevamente al estadio MÁS GRANDE DE SUDAMÉRICA EL MÁS MONUMENTAL DE RIVER PLATE antes más de 85000 fanáticos aquí en Buenos Aires, Argentina! ! ! ! ! ! !
I first saw these guys at a roller rink I Ontario Canada in the 80's. They were the Southern Death Cult back then and they rocked the crap out of that place!
Just figured something out. It partly copies Boston's More than a Feeling (guitar players will understand the section). Still don't know how Billy plays that Gretsch down around his knees.
The 80’s wouldn’t be the 80’s without this epic song. Best decade of my life.
So true! Brings back some fun memories.
Concordo
We were lucky to be teenagers back in the eighties! 🤟🏻🎸😎
I hate to agree with you, but the 80's were probably the best decade of my life, too. It only goes downhill from there!
54 now and loved this as a teenager - now still loving it - great band
I am older,56 and still listening like 40 yrs ago.
I'll be 60 in March and still love this tune
I 53.
51 here and down in Texas!!! Turns out my neighbors still jam the Cult too 😂
I 54 from Holland and also listening like 40 yrs ago
If you don't like THE CULT, you don't like rock, the most unpopular band of all time, that's why I love them. Their band name says it all: THE CULT
Easy there Ed…I’m not a fan of the Cult, however I love rock music, so pump the brakes a little 🤦♂️
I think all of these kick ass bands are coming back because the MAJORITY of us are SICK of autotuned, assembly line bullshit "music". I welcome these artists coming back to show the young ones what it takes to make REAL music.
I agree mate! Today's music is totally forgettable.
Well said that man
The Cult was using auto tune in the late 90's. Live in the real world. He even drops the mike and nothing changes
Amen brother!
I like to think they never went away.
But yeah, sick of the over-produced formulaic crap that gets churned out.
My favorite song by my favorite band and favorite front man. Absolutely timeless.
I have to agree 👍 💯
They still kick ass! Love this band! Love their sound and vibe, great front man and great musicians!
It’s hard to believe this song is coming up on 40 years old. 🥰
Still timeless
Dang, am I that old!!! Where did the time go?
This was on one of the first cd's I ever bought, so it's a modern classic in my mind 😀!
Billy Duffy is only 23 too.
How did I get to be 55 years old already?
Man he sounds great live his voice hasn’t aged at all 💪🏻
indeed it has, he scat sings now watch other shows this tour - he is hardly invested.
@@sloburnjo give him a break man he's 60 but still sounds amazing even if his voice has aged a lil bit
No, the voice is not what it was. Getting old like the rest of us.
@@sloburnjo always been that way. People bitched about it in 86 on the electric tour with GnR opening. Still killing it.
Well he is singing in a lower key,but that's normal with age, still sounds great.

'but I like forget it let's here'?
I keep telling people the cult is a good band ifeen if there an old band keep on rocking every one
Wow!
Ian definitely gets his energy from long hair! Best vocals and energy by him in years!
Billy always brings it and nails it!
Great performance.
Many thanks for posting!
🎸🎤😎👍
One of the best tracks of 'All Time' 👍
Just saw them for the 6th time Sept18th 2022. Still great. One of my favourite bands. First Concert I saw The Cult was in 1986. Thank you. God bless you.
💗➕💗🎸😇
Ian Asbury amazing voice and Billie Duffy amazing guitar player. Valid in time
Timeless
Thanks for sharing. The Cult is timeless. Mr Asbury and Mr Duffy are in great shape and wearing well! They have the spiritual forcefield!💪🤘🤘🤘😎
Saw this and thought, couldn't be for real. Must be a cover band.
The instant I saw Duffy's guitar, I sat back and enjoyed it like I just saw them at the Beacon Theatre in NYC back in '86!
Thanks for sharing!
He is as he used to be ,decades ago…My God he is something else!!Great setting also..Thank you for footage..❤️from🇬🇷
Man….these boys still going strong….used to drive 100 miles a day in late 80s and early 90s and The Cult was all I listened to…..Man…I loved The Cult….
Gives me a quick trip back to the 80's . I was 19 when this was released ..Mann what memories , love the Cult !
Saw them 2 weeks ago. There is something captivating about Ian's voice and Billy's playing. It takes my mind to another place. Spectacular
Two the people that like the cult listen to def leperd a nother good old band
Another place huh...Like the Gay Bathhouse you sneak out to when you lie to your family how your "just going to get milk...." Freak!
Excellent !!!!
Ian's voice is still insanely good. Billy's 🎸 playing still rocks hard!! Saw them at The Roxy in L.A.
@@kennmonias8014 Now I know that they were not The Cure.
Duffy has to be sick of that riff, but he still picks it so well!!! That Falcon sings!!!
Yeah but it's slightly different everytime. It's a money earner
Awesome. Billy & Ian are always magic!
The cult nailed this song that night . this is one those concerts you could only dream you were at. with the New York skyline in the background beautiful song and venue .great job.
No word describe this vocals, it's like wine after years....awesome
Another show I should've been at. Looks like it was awesome!
Probably the best live version of this song by The Cult EVER!!!👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good to see he’s singing very well once again
Thank God Ian's voice did not change Yeah !!!!
If this song was 100 years old it would still be incredible.

He's always been a tough hombre...and intense as a cobra
he sounds the same as back then. so good. i loved the cult electric album mostly.
they are still so damn cool
They have a new energy Ian looks great and the band sounds tight again
Good to see they are still rocking. Love the band. One of the underrated bands in my opinion.
Great band. I’m happy to see them in good form, again.
Billy’s tone is one of my favorite of all guitarists.
Rock n roll!
Saw them open for Metallica on their Injustice for All tour way back in 1987’ish. They were amazing!
Thank you for posting. Amazing recording by phone. One of their best live songs ... Sanctuary!
Indeed - excellent quality recording!
EXCELLENT!!! You guys are timeless and still bring it live😁
Saw the show in Houston at 713 Music Hall - SOOO GOOD!!!! Ian and Billy are captivating. Seen the Cult about 5 times and I would easily go 5 more. Such great memories from this band!

I like the cult because the lead singer kind of reminds me of Jim Morrison the way he moves and sings the doors are my favorite band
He sang with the original Doors group for a while look it up its pretty wild.
That voice is amazing after all those years! This song is epic en still listening to it in my car 💪
Just seen The Cult in Halifax, England. Totally electric, music, vocals just amazing. Billy keeps on going brilliant guitarist and Ian's vocals awesome not to forget the drummer and base guitarist were top class.
They still sound great in 2022!
I saw these guys back in 1987 play at the LA Forum and open for Billy Idol....they were they better band that day by far!!
I´ll be watching you the 21st of June in Madrid.
Please give the best of you.
Spanish people love you.
Wow his voice is still as good as ever.
I wouldn’t say that since the audience is singing more than he is
It sounds great! One of the few left with a voice from that era!
My favorite band from 80th!
This song is the ringtone in my phone. Just absolutely love it!!!
A minha banda de coração!! Tive o privilegio de vê Los em Sp , Olimpya nós anos 90...que Show maravilhoso 👏❤️
Still rocking fabulous
80's we're the BEST!!
LIVED IT & TO TELL!!!!
Fantastic song from a fantastic era. One of the great intros ever

The 80's had the best music and rock groups. The best decade!
Absolute top tune and love it that this band is still goin oh to be able to jam with them would be amazing
One of the most underrated band … Band is so original and one of their own kind. Love this band
You keep me Alive!!
Thank you! Muito obrigado!
He sounds incredible.
I was there. The sound seemed much lower for the Cult than BRMC.
Their new sound guy sucks.
Was at this gig at Pier 17...great support bands too...thanks for the upload!
Thanks so much for this video. My all time favorite song.
Best rock band ever
Loved the couple metal albums they made in late 80s I think it was, but this is great trippy Celtic rock . They were big fans of Led Zeppelin btw.
Thanks for showing the crowd too singing...its always part of a live show!
Love it. Power Rock. The Cult. Great stuff, always.
They’re a great Band , I always liked them , their style and his voice are great . You can even dance it
Cult still doin it right

Vídeo super legal, me pôs no meio dessa multidão civilizadissima, vendo essa banda excepcional! 👏
The best rock and roll in the world!!!
Saw them for the first time in 1986 at Pinkpop Geleen (The Netherlands). It was very powerfull! Still love the music✊🏻
Great concert- The Cult still sound and look great 40 years later 🤘🏼
Remember sanctuary in 85 with Mark Brzezicki on drums in the video
NYC Location + The Cult top Class Luxury !!!
Ian has a new found energy / enthusiasm for the songs. Great to hear.
Still got us Rocking @IANASTBURY@THECULT BADASS STILL!!!🤘🏻🤠🤘🏻 💯🇨🇱🇮🇪🔥
Ian, plus Billy, plus Gretsch white falcon = better than Nirvana.
The 80's was such a great decade for music.
This song IS 80s!!! When I saw them in 1999, the place went INSANE!!! when they broke out with 'Sanctuary '
After the Cult show at StageWest Hartford in I think 1986 I asked the road crew guy what one of Bill Duffy’s effects pedals was - being from the UK he answered “that’s ahn aneelawg deelhay”.
Been a fan since the mid 80’s! Saw them live in YOW with Lenny Kravitz as an opening act..EPIC!
Love ❤️
A GREAT MOMENT 4EVER STAMPED INTO THE WALL OF TIME.. #CFFC 💚❤💚
Yes.. I'm GWEN 😊
Se imaginan si The Cult vuelve nuevamente al estadio MÁS GRANDE DE SUDAMÉRICA EL MÁS MONUMENTAL DE RIVER PLATE antes más de 85000 fanáticos aquí en Buenos Aires, Argentina! ! ! ! ! ! !
They sound amazing as it was still back in the day.
I first saw these guys at a roller rink I Ontario Canada in the 80's. They were the Southern Death Cult back then and they rocked the crap out of that place!
Really great memory of the 80’s
Ian sounds amazing! Wtf decade are we in?
A favourite track from long ago. Still has a lot of energy
Just figured something out. It partly copies Boston's More than a Feeling (guitar players will understand the section). Still don't know how Billy plays that Gretsch down around his knees.
Só que nossa tradição é centrada em proteção diversa.
É um montão de gente.
