I'm in a facebook group with women whoe suffered a loss like that and what I see often is that the pain of having to hide what happened is added onto the loss. So even if it is super hard, you should talk about it. You get so much support from people and suddenly you're part of this secret women's club who have all had to suffer the same. It helps, it really does!
1. Avoid all vitamin A 2.Salicylic Acid peels greater than 2%, use less then 2% Antibiotics 3.Acid Peels, avoid al AHA peels 4. Spray Tans 5. Cellulite Creams (has caffeine, DAME) 6. Hydroquinone ( not good for SOC) 7. Benzoyl Peroxide 8. Deodorant 9. Formaldehyde (gel nails, Brazilian blowout) 10. Sunblock (physical not chemical)

Good afternoon doctor. I just receive my package of the ordinary brand today and I will like your recommendation on how to layer the correct way for a dark skin black woman. This will be my very first trial using the ordinary. I order the HA, Niacinamide, ascorbic acid8%arbutin and toner. How should I apply to my skin in the AM and PM? Please Note: I use a Cerave cleanser foam normal to oily( It has No BHA OR AHA in it). I also have a 8% benzoyl peroxide cleanser from Proactiv will I be able to use both cleanser with the ordinary products? or do you recommend me using a BHA cleanser instead for AM and PM?
I have a patch of hyperpigmentation on my back about the size of a hand, it was not there when i was born. I am 42 years old now, about 20 years i had laser on the top half of the patch and in the following weeks the area treated become darker than it was before and remained that way. I have had consultations with nhs dermatologists and they have said nothing will be able to get rid of it, that was many years ago and quite recently too. One of the dermatologists said it is called blacshko hyperpigmentation. About 1 month ago i had 4 sessions of clearlift laser treatment (2 weeks apart) but it has made no difference, the area is exactly the same not darker nor lighter. The therapist wanted to try another 2 different lasers to see if they would make any difference so she did 2 test areas one at the very top and one at the bottom, as they were healing the pigmentation has come back on 1 part and never made a difference to the other part. Do you have any experience dealing with this? I woukd be happy sending you a picture, my skin is fitzpatrick 4/5 (pakistani) colour. Thankyou

Niacinamide is fine. We don't have enough data on Caffeine right now but I would avoid it. Also I would avoid salacylic acid.
If lasers are risky for skin of colour, what can we do about facial hair? Would love a video on facial hair removal, etc for brown skin

I use Native deodorant, and while it doesn't stop sweating, it prevents you from smelling bad

I personally would avoid lasers as they can lead to pigmentation. However, in my clinic we stopped treating hand pigmentation as it is very stubborn.

What if I had used and stop
Retinoid 0.3% adapalene 20-25 days before I got pregnant? Also did a salicylic acid peel before I got pregnant
I was using retinol before I found out I was pregnant 😔

Gold is stronger but can be irritating. Start with plus.
