Netflix Sense8 has renewed my interest in visiting Iceland. Incidentally, the presenter makes a brief appearance on that show, I hope she comes back in future episodes. One more reason to visit.:-) I am also interested in the proper pronunciation of Eyjafjallajokull which I got at the end. Very good travelogue.

We're going there in February! Will go see the Northern Lights, Blue Lagoon, and the Golden Circle. Would have preferred not to go during winter, but the Northern Lights can only be seen during the Winter Solstice.
SKA OIIT I know right? I plan to finish school, get out of the densely packed city I live in and migrate their to work as a barista. Get a nice comfy home with all the necessities I need and I would be the happiest guy around.
In 1965 I was brought to Iceland by Good Samaritans , They brought me out of harms way, We were on the Trawler Ardbaker out of Akerery , The other Trawler with us Sletbaker got chased away . Those two Captains risked there Ships and crew for a no body, Me ! . All I can do is Thank the Good Folk of Akarery.
went to Iceland February 17 brilliant place BUT while its OK price wise to get there and stop its when you spend money you realise just how expensive it really is - meal for two is about £80 to £110 and that is just a main meal and a drink each - tin of coke £3 mars bar £3 - we was there 4 days so really 2 full days - i took £500 thinking that would be enough Boy was i wrong that was spent in a day and a half - dont let this put you off though i can not say how brilliant the place is it is amazing - rent a car and explore and go twice - once in winter and then again in summer id say do 14 days as theirs so much to see
why say you? since i fund out that St Brendan the Navigator found Iceland and America i am very happy to go to Iceland in the summer after i come from Korea. half the people in Iceland have Celtic Iirish blood too as all the viking s going to ireland used to take Irish gf and wives with them to Iceland. its just ireland really wit hot springs as bith countries are very green. one girl told me she is related to a 9th century Irish princess.
Why is Iceland so fucken expensive to go on holiday!!! I have just come back from there and probably never go there again because the cost is so great even though I want to go back and see the wonderful glaciers again etc.

Went there last month. Enjoyed it. Don't forget to bring a good all-weather coat with you. Not the coldest place around, but it can get windy.

If you move there, you slowly begin to learn it, but it's best to study a language a bit before you travel.
