Yeah even though I was hating on Biggie, I did not want that to happen." I was 16 years old at the time. A couple year later, I really began to respect and appreciate Biggie's artistry. Man if Napoleon can recall these old Pac stories from 1989 he can remember EXACTLY what he did when he heard Biggie died. It’s like he realizes how bad it sounds NOW but he doesn’t want to fully embrace celebrating. I remember being nine years old in 1997 and on MTV News they said Biggie was gonna be in California for a MONTH. OH NO they’re going to kill him I thought to myself. I was relieved everyday I didn’t hear anything until that fateful day. I can’t comprehend why they thought that was a good idea. As far as Biggie’s feelings towards Pac after his death, I say I don’t blame him. Pac’s bragging about smashing Biggie’s wife which is crossing the line with FAMILY. You don’t do that. Biggie had children so if the fans turned on him so bad that they didn’t buy his records or come to his shows off Pac’s words then that’s even worse. You got this big war going on and in the middle of the madness Pac DIES. Where’s all that anger supposed to go? Most people would still feel a way. If I was Biggie you wouldn’t hear me say oh I loved Pac I wish things were different either. That was my homie blah blah blah. It would be disingenuous. I’d expect those dudes to be happy but to this day NOBODY from Bad Boy said they said they celebrated Tupac’s death and they’re the ones that justifiably could have. Faith admitted in her book she pretty much didn’t care about Pac’s death especially since Biggie’s car accident happened around that time.

Back then, I was on the east coast and supporting Tupac, because I was a fan of his before the whole East vs West beef. When Pac died, I didn't really believe that Biggie had anything to do with it, but I was still on the internet calling him Piggie Smalls and Junior Whoppa. When I woke up that morning, listening to Hot 97, with Angie Martinez breaking down and crying, mentioning that Biggie Smalls died in a drive by shooting. My first thoughts were "Wow!! Yeah even though I was hating on Biggie, I did not want that to happen." I was 16 years old at the time. A couple year later, I really began to respect and appreciate Biggie's artistry. I mean, I liked some of his hits while he was alive, but I really began to respect his art and emcee skills later on.
On the other side, 6 months earlier, when Pac died, at school, there were some kids cracking jokes. A bunch of narrow minded New Yorkers. Who didn't seem to realize that this just got serious and a man died.

Doesn’t matter he smart for doing that and still gave an honest answer which could rub people the wrong way. He could of simply said he didn’t remember and chose not to
