A good question. The answer shows the uniqueness of Judaism in the world & the great respect Torah Judaism gives to women. A 2nd example of the uniqueness is in the Jewish calendar. The Islamic calendar is based solely on the lunar cycle. The xtian calendar solely on the solar cycle. Both lack a certain measure of balance in relationships to the universe. The Jewish calendar balances the 2 cycles & it's relationship to the entire creation. Therefore if one is to be considered a Jew by birth s/he must have an absolutely sure Jewish mother. For like the planets & life were formed & developed within the "womb" creation, therefore to be born a member of the nation that is in balance with the creator's plans you must come from a Jewish ova & womb. Yet to maintain the balance, your tribe within the nation is determined by the father whose seed brought the power of that ova to develop to become a living being. But He himself stated clearly that He was NOT David's son. He is God's son, and He was David's Lord. I'm a Christian and I have total faith in the words of Jesus. But that doesn't mean I think everything in the Bible is the inspired word of God. The Bible didn't even exist in its present state at the time of Christ and Jesus himself only said that the prophets spoke by divine inspiration. That doesn't mean that the scribes who wrote and compiled the Bible were all prophets acting under divine inspiration. For example the book of Esther is nothing but a fairy tale. It has no basis in fact. The 5 books of Moses are Jewish mythology with probably very little relation to any actual historical events. They are important, not as historical records but as the myths that created the Hebrew psyche which later split into two competing religions, rabbinic Judaism (phariseeism) and Christianity. As for the genealogies concerning Christ's ancestry, I doubt if either of them is valid, and I'm pretty confident that Jesus himself never even tried to teach his genealogy to anyone. It's very much a Jewish thing, but not so much a Christian thing. Anybody in Christ is a new creature. Many of the disciples were Jews and had some religious baggage. And they were also witnessing to Jews so they might have felt compelled to delve into genealogies. But Paul said they are a waste of time and I agree. Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Now let me give a finishing touch on this great video I was always looking for. And That's what I am afraid of regarding the Jewish teaching and belief. The first one who will claim to be the Messiah to the Jewish people in Israel, will rise from Jewish community and will also deceive a group of Jewish priests, people including some Muslims by the display of some miraculous tasks (basically they will completely fall into deception by him ;e.g. raising dead to life). This deceiver is also called as dajjal in Islamic(prophetic) tradition. He will run the world for 40 days where first day will feel like one year, second day will feel like one month, third day will feel like a week and rests be like normal other single day. Then the real Messiah will arise from the Muslim Ummah while taking prayer in Masjidul Aksa(temple mount) behind Imam Mahdi(a descendant of Prophet Mohammad Sws). Within this reign there will be series of wars between Muslim Ummah and Non-Muslim countries (people of Christian +Jewish faith= I'll call them Zionist). In the first war a muslim country will severely be defeated or destroyed by this attack(my intuition says it will be either Iran or Turkey). Finally Isa or Christ, the Messiah (pbuh) will kill this false Messiah or the dajjal or the Antichrist and will have victory over disbelievers. As per Allah that "every soul will taste the death." the Messiah will finally die by merging all the One-Allah believers. And to be honest with you, you also don't know if a later lineage of David(pbuh) has been reverted to Islam long ago. And Isa(pbuh) or the Messiah will appear from Muslim Ummah as he was Muslim at the erstwhile time by his nature. I'll highly suggest you to study the Islamic literature on this Dajjal issue or the false Messiah to save themselves from a define deception. If you believe in Quran and Hadith traditions you should also discuss with Owlama(Islamic Scholars). It would be a good idea to have some intelligence and information exchanged.

There's no contradiction. Whether or not you're Jewish depends on your mother, and which tribe you're from depends on your father. So you can be a non-Jew but have a Jewish father from such-and-such tribe.

The clue here is the opening line "FOR David, a song", meaning this Psalm is an ode to David. With this in mind, he offers two possible explanations: 1) The psalmist praises David by comparing him to Malki-Tzedek of the Abraham story. 2) The psalmist praises David for being a righteous king (literal translation of Malki-Tzedek), who is as dedicated to G-d as the priests were in the Temple. 1. “The Lord said to my lord” (verse 1) - if Jesus is “lord”, how can God speak to God? The second “lord” here refers to David. 2. “Sit at My right hand” (verse 1) - if the Father and Son are God then they do not need to regard each other as companions nor do they need each other’s help. it was written by David for the Levites to recite about him (or by a court poet about David). This much is sure: It does not teach that the Messiah is God!

When Jesus comes the second time and is recognized as the Messiah by the whole earth, nobody is going to be questioning his tribal identity at that point! The point of the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew and Luke is in part to show the faithfulness of G-d that He had not allowed the line of David to vanish, in spite of the captivity and the break in the royal successions. The sad thing about Judaism's rejection of Jesus and the Judaism concept of a messiah - is that it is unlikely that most people will ever meet the person, even briefly, and will observe him (even when their Antichrist messiah arrives) from a distance like watching the president or something on TV. I'm a Christian and I have total faith in the words of Jesus. But that doesn't mean I think everything in the Bible is the inspired word of God. The Bible didn't even exist in its present state at the time of Christ and Jesus himself only said that the prophets spoke by divine inspiration. That doesn't mean that the scribes who wrote and compiled the Bible were all prophets acting under divine inspiration. For example the book of Esther is nothing but a fairy tale. It has no basis in fact. The 5 books of Moses are Jewish mythology with probably very little relation to any actual historical events. They are important, not as historical records but as the myths that created the Hebrew psyche which later split into two competing religions, rabbinic Judaism (phariseeism) and Christianity. As for the genealogies concerning Christ's ancestry, I doubt if either of them is valid, and I'm pretty confident that Jesus himself never even tried to teach his genealogy to anyone. It's very much a Jewish thing, but not so much a Christian thing. Anybody in Christ is a new creature. Many of the disciples were Jews and had some religious baggage. And they were also witnessing to Jews so they might have felt compelled to delve into genealogies. But Paul said they are a waste of time and I agree.

The first one who will claim to be the Messiah to the Jewish people in Israel, will rise from Jewish community and will also deceive a group of Jewish priests, people including some Muslims by the display of some miraculous tasks (basically they will completely fall into deception by him ;e.g. raising dead to life). This deceiver is also called as dajjal in Islamic(prophetic) tradition. He will run the world for 40 days where first day will feel like one year, second day will feel like one month, third day will feel like a week and rests be like normal other single day. Then the real Messiah will arise from the Muslim Ummah while taking prayer in Masjidul Aksa(temple mount) behind Imam Mahdi(a descendant of Prophet Mohammad Sws). Within this reign there will be series of wars between Muslim Ummah and Non-Muslim countries (people of Christian +Jewish faith= I'll call them Zionist). In the first war a muslim country will severely be defeated or destroyed by this attack(my intuition says it will be either Iran or Turkey). Finally Isa or Christ, the Messiah (pbuh) will kill this false Messiah or the dajjal or the Antichrist and will have victory over disbelievers. As per Allah that "every soul will taste the death." the Messiah will finally die by merging all the One-Allah believers.
And to be honest with you, you also don't know if a later lineage of David(pbuh) has been reverted to Islam long ago. And Isa(pbuh) or the Messiah will appear from Muslim Ummah as he was Muslim at the erstwhile time by his nature.
I'll highly suggest you to study the Islamic literature on this Dajjal issue or the false Messiah to save themselves from a define deception. If you believe in Quran and Hadith traditions you should also discuss with Owlama(Islamic Scholars). It would be a good idea to have some intelligence and information exchanged.

One thing to consider,... if Jesus was the son of God, how could he be a descendant of King David, according to the flesh, from the loins of David?

The point of this example is that a son takes the tribal designation and geneaology of his father and not his mother.
If Jesus was born of a virgin with God as his father Jesus did not have the lineage of the tribe of Judah, descendant of David. He could not be the legitimate Messiah, or Christ.

Bernardo Flores The Ibn Ezra (well-known Medieval commentary) explains that one needs to understand the style of Psalms to appreciate the context here. While Psalms is generally attributed to David, not every one was written by him. Apparently, he had a group of singers/ psalmists who occasionally wrote Psalms too.
The clue here is the opening line "FOR David, a song", meaning this Psalm is an ode to David.
With this in mind, he offers two possible explanations:
1) The psalmist praises David by comparing him to Malki-Tzedek of the Abraham story.
2) The psalmist praises David for being a righteous king (literal translation of Malki-Tzedek), who is as dedicated to G-d as the priests were in the Temple.
1. “The Lord said to my lord” (verse 1) - if Jesus is “lord”, how can God speak to God? The second “lord” here refers to David.
2. “Sit at My right hand” (verse 1) - if the Father and Son are God then they do not need to regard each other as companions nor do they need each other’s help.

Some of his sins, regarded the same as a murderer which was why Barrabas was there. Jesus incited the Jews to deviate from the Law which holds a death penalty. If the Jews killed Jesus, it was because Hashem decreed it for his sins. Besides, Jesus is a figment of some poor sex starved deprived priest, locked in a 1 x2 metre cell inside a SEMENary. When you compare what Jesus did compared to what Moses commanded, if nothing else, he was careless and he did not tell any educated Jew anything that they did not or could not find already there in the Torah. The first one who will claim to be the Messiah to the Jewish people in Israel, will rise from Jewish community and will also deceive a group of Jewish priests, people including some Muslims by the display of some miraculous tasks (basically they will completely be deception ;e.g. raising alive from dead) This deceiver is also called dajjal in Islamic traditions. Then the real Messiah will arise from the Muslim Ummah while taking prayer in Masjidul Aksa(temple mount) behind Imam Mahdi(a descendant of Prophet Mohammad Sws). Finally he will distinguish the truth from false to jewish and Christians by destroying doctrine of trinity. I'll highly suggest you to study the Islamic literature on this Dajjal issue or the false Messiah to save themselves from a define deception. If you believe in Quran and Hadith traditions you should also discuss with Owlama(Islamic Scholars). It would be a good idea to have some intelligence and information exchanged.

Have you ever considered the paradox in that no man has seen God. Yet, there are places in the Tanach of man seeing God?
Actually in the Christian (new) Testament it says no man has seen God as well. But the concept is that no-man has seen God or can know God in His Fullness.
I am sure you will agree before there was any created thing there was only God - not even empty void - otherwise God would have limits. The Christian Testament describes it, simply as the Word.... i.e "God". (John 1).
