I'm dutch, but i have deepest respect for all the pilots in the world! I see the hurt in the eyes, and hear it in there voice! His brothers, full off sadness! No words! R.I.P Captain Jeff Kuss! Fly with the Angels!
God Bless and Rest in Peace Captain Kuss. I was born in Pensacola and cannot remember a time when The Blue Angels weren't a very proud and beautiful part of my life. Captain Kuss... eternally and forever flying those awesome blue skies; hope you are entertaining God with all your maneuvers every day!
The grief over losing Captain Kuss is not just in Pensacola it is across the country, but it is especially true here in Maryland as we stand strong in support of with the U.S. Naval Academy! Rest In Peace Captain Kuss, you will be missed and you will not soon be forgotten!
way back in 1953 i lived in Farmingdale NY on Long Island and not too far was GRUMMAN AIRCRAFT IN FARMINGDALE, NEW YORK where the Blue Angels flew from and they would fly right over our home... I remember hearing and seeing them... It appears from a comment i read apparently from a knowledgeable pilot that there was an engine failure... he noticed a couple puffs of smoke prior to the impact. Additionally it appears Captain Kuss maneuvered the jet to go down in an unpopulated area to avoid civilian deaths and destruction. Certainly he is an honorable man... he could have elected any time to save himself... healing and peace to his loved ones including his fellow pilots.
