    Apparently Neca waited months to contact the people that got an extra one at that point they shouldn’t expect to get any back. There’s no way I’m wasting my time trying to contact Neca if I got an extra one.

      With Neca's history, I wouldn't be surprised if several people did contact Neca about getting an extra and Neca ignored their emails.

    I'm one of the poor schmucks that never got their Lab. Lost out the money they took from me in March and will likely never see my order. They refuse to communicate with me and left me holding the bag. They have lost me as a customer.

    2 things. Just remember that 1.NECA sent out this lairs not when the first one came out, but months later. Also 2. The store credit is for a TMNT product on their website. Thanks for the video. You both have a great and safe holiday season. Appreciate ya all.

    Stopping the loyal fans who were willing to pay over $300 for the diorama from future items is a bad move. Those are their die hard customers who didn't care how many people said the dio was over priced. They ignored the noise and gave NECA their money. NECA should have cut their loses and made more. May have equaled the shipping tag and $100 voucher.

    It's amazing how many people are fighting, kicking, and screaming that a company asked for the product back that they accidently sent out and may actually have to pay for the product they intend on keeping or already sold.

      So… if I’m waiting I should get a perhaps opened and used one???
      NECA should the $100 to those waiting and just let the people keep the ones they shipped out over two mo tha ago.
      Almost all have been opened to take pics with double accessories and NOW you think it is ok for the guy waiting to get a USED diorama for $300?
      By returning you are actually dicking over a fellow collector.

    If I got 2, Neca wouldn't have had to reach out to me. It was like a month before they found this out. I would have quickly told them that I got 2 after checking my item for qc issues.

    I'll give Neca props for paying the postage back and offering a $100 credit. They definitely lost money on this one. I agree with LPH, Neca does need to work on their QC issues, it's been a problem for many years. Sometimes the figures are already broken before you even open the package.

    🎉this is crazy that there is a whole video about this. I got one for free! My neighbor gave it to me and said it was sent to him on accident. They didn't reply and he waited a few months before giving it to me. My 8 year old is going to have a great Christmas bc of this.

    Man, I think people is just trying to get away of stealing stuff merchandise wrongly send it to them. I don't think it's right but as you know, many toy collectors are going to say it's right. In the first place just a very tiny portion of the community backed the Donnie 's lab because most of us collecting the turtles animated line think it's very overpriced... I will say maybe a 5-10% of the fans backed so I think there's a lot of noise about this topic and for sure it's coming from a lot of people that don't even bought it...😀💡☕👍

    Didn’t know they give $100 credit to their store If you give it back that makes things better . And they give you a shipping label too nice . They still have a lot of issues though.

    When you mentioned the FTC, I googled it and I was shocked. In Canada, you don't have to pay for something that was sent to you accidentally but if they ask for it back you have to send it back to them provided they pay for the return. I've been like, you can't just steal it. I still think everyone should send them back.

    I would send it back. On a side note, dealing with bots could be it's own video. Personally, I've never had a bot solve my issue. Not once. They don't allow for nuance or unique situations.

      Bots are a pain to deal with, the AI clearly has no idea what your talking about, (my experience with Mezco and their AI showed me that).

    Interesting news. Nice set up though expensive, agreed. NECA should pay for the shipping back; if so that's cool. That is a big mess up if they're sending two for 1 order. That's nice they're giving $100 credit.

    I can't believe all the comments I'm seeing from people trying to justify keeping the play set. Neca made a mistake, be descent human beings and send it back... They are offering a fair incentive. Neca isn't the bad guys here, the people refusing to send it back are. DO THE RIGHT THING.

      As someone who is still waiting on my lab, if I don’t ever receive it, I won’t blame the collectors that didn’t send their duplicate back. The blame is 100% on NECA.

      So if I was waiting on mine, I would get a “used” one.
      Most of these went out early September. Imagine having it 75 days, opening it, using the extra accessories for pics and NOW having to repackage the play set and send back for a collector to get an opened one? Perhaps missing items as well.
      Would you want a used set for $300? NECA should remake and resend to those people waiting .
      Give the people waiting the $100 and just accept their mistake.

    I just think neca should put the lab back into production, so people like me will definitely receive one even if we still need to wait even more months.
    I mean not everyone is going to bother sending there's back and alot of people like me that don't get one will boycott neca in the future 😕

    I'm just going to say and so you know what kinda of person I am.
    If that happened with me and Neca I would keep it and don't care to sell it for $40. Why? Because I had to open up a BBB claim on Neca because they overcharge me for shipping. When I told them they said " if I'm not happy with the shipping cost send back the hole order". So I got BBB involved in the issue.
    Also to mention. When I was 22yrs Pushing and shopping carts at costco I found a money bag full of money from a small business. I had to open it do to some times the money truck would drop bags and I would have to pick them up. One time it was a bag filled with penny's and most of the time they where empty but still. But I Found that bag and there was something inside and it was around $10k. How do I know that it was around that money?Because whenever I buy stuff that is a big purchase I sadly have to pay cash due to my disability. But I saw that I stopped what I was doing and gave it to a manager. A co-worker said WHY. An I said that it wasn't mine. I have no call or decision to make when is somebody else money.
    But with Neca they have done me wrong personally. So that's where I fall in..... Also fast forward to today that job fired me because of my disability 🙄

    I defer to your experience as a seller/shipper but thought it went a little different. I was under the impression the recipient is under no obligation to send it back unless the sender pays for its return. As a warehouse guy in the 90s, we’d get scams from Toner Pirates that would send material without an order, then send a bill to AP. Maybe because we were a business. Not sure.
    I know there are certain classes of mail that you are obligated to forward if misdirected.

    Since I didn't order it, I would be inclined to send it back, just cause I'd feel like an ass to keep it. I've done that before on ebay and amazon as long as they sent me a return label. I'd expect them to make things right if something was wrong with the order on their end after all. However, they can't do anything about it and making threats only makes them look bad. You don't threaten your customers because you made a mistake. If they wanted to cut the people off that kept it, whatever, I'd probably do the same. But I wouldn't be out there making threats.

    I would try to send it back to but necaI can't wait 2 months after people that got to have that they waited 2 months. Then they threaten you. And even if you tried to contact him when you first got it 2 months ago they don't answer emails. Anyway I like you chanel

    They problem is they shoulda never been $300 to begin with. People hated these sets for being overpriced from the beginning. Necas reputation is coming back to haunt them. I am going to assume the $100 they offered is the cost of a unit, so they would still be doing well if they get it back. There may just be too much resentment from the community to feel bad for Neca at this point. Its a rare opportunity to stick it to em'. I dont feel bad either way, its Necas mess up and they are handling it poorly in my opinion. They could easily let people keep it and make the money elsewhere, just put out a bundle or make more turtles, i still havent seen the 4 turtles on shelves in person.

    My take is if its not yours its not ethical to keep it period . Second ,im not shocked that a corporation does corporate things ,i have never thought they love me just because i buy their stuff . Third ,despite all this hoopla about how neca talked to ppl, the toy ' community ' is not known for standing on buisness for very long ,probably the most weak consumers in this country who have been played by these companies many times before ,but just like an abused woman ( sorry but accurate ) will always return when the company makes a shiny new toy and fomo sets in . How many times have gi joe fans ' quit ' the line only to come crawling back ? Same for legends and other brands . No doubt this wind will calm down in short time with the next tmnt drop .
