Amazing recap of a glorious year! That Uber story made me sooo tense! Had a buddy that used to carry ALOT of cash in a camera bag to swap meets thinking that he was flying under the radar! Always freaked me out! It's a pleasure to get to ride along vicariously thru all your adventures and builds...thank you! Can't wait to see what the new year holds, and what's coming next! Go Iron Trap team, keep moving forward!
You forgot one from your list of car buys. The Plymouth wagon with the 318. Yes, it got sold, but you did get it running. That test drive was epic. The big column of smoke behind it looked like a villain using a nefarious device to escape Batman. Great 2024, this channel is a lot of fun.
Loved hearing a recap of the whole year, that was a great idea. Also I'm super stoked to see the Free T get some love. That was the car thag brought me to your channel, and it's still my favorite of your fleet
Had this on yesterday as I was doing chores around the house. Made for great listening! Favorite part was the discussion about 2025 plans: Matt: *talks at length about various builds and event appearances* Mike: "work on my car and sell more parts." 🤣 Seriously though guys, thanks for sharing and can't wait to see what all gets worked on this coming year!
Great podcast, loved the stuff that you did over year, love the stats on downloads ,I’m in Sydney ,so I’m one of those, keep them coming, love your work 🇦🇺🦘
"Favorite Purchase of the Year!" You don't know how happy that makes me. You guys have done a wonderful job with it and we've enjoyed watching the progress. See you in Hershey! 🏁
Fuck yeah Melbourne Australia!!!!!! We ROCK. And we know awesome hotrods. Been an awesome year lads. Hope to see the Victorian "club permit" plate I sent you on the wall in a video someday too. Your own little piece of Melbourne for your collection. Enjoy. Brett.
Hey Matt and Mike, could you do a segment on the various events you plan to attend in 2025, or the ones you’ve attended in the past? It would be great to hear the good/bad/ugly from your traditional rod perspective.
I had one of the old refrideorators in garage compressor on top, used it for 10 years and ended up selling it to someone at a yardsale for 2500 bucks,i got it out of a church that was built in 1890,sadly burned down ,fridge was untouched on back porch.
Hey Mike, give Morski Repair a call. He needs some parts for his 32 five window coop. He needs a drivers door and some other stuff some skins door parts anyway give me a call. I know you guys probably got some hidden stuff. Happy new year y’all.😊
You two gentlemen have built a fantastic business and should be very proud of your accomplishments. LOVED THIS podcast. It's always interesting to hear the things that you guys have done and are planning to do. Nothing but respect for the business that you guys have created! Thanks guys for posting this Podcast!
Heres a Thought,. Put your efforts of participating in the Race of Gentleman type events with the with the 33 and the Sweetheart roadster and don't worry about beating the shit out of it (as you say) and sell the free t because it's too nice of a car.
Job lot was in Queens N.Y. just off of Northern Blvd. I think they opened in the late 1950? They had a thin catalog which is how they sold most of their parts .They were very low-key here on L.I. car wise
I live about 1 1/2 miles from where Joblot was. It was in Queens Village, around the corner from Jamaica Ave. about 3 miles south of Northern Blvd. I started doing business with them in 1950s. One of the key employees had a 33 or 34 stock coupe which he would park on the sidewalk in front of the building. I occasionally would drive my 34 there and BS with him, the manager & the owner. Great memories! Love the channel! Best wishes to you 3 and Pete for a Happy, Healthy & prosperous 2025!
@@IronTrapGarage h Joblot also had tons of junky repro parts from So.America. Our quality USA stuff wasn't available back then. People were still driving early Fords in So America for everyday transportation & not particular about the appearance of replacement parts.
Two hours well spent. Lesson learned: One of the positive aspects of having an unpopular, homely looking "uncool" car is that folks tend to leave you alone and let you work on it in peace. 😏 Trashcan Garage
@IronTrapGarage they are out there..... I'm in New Zealand where there are still lots of old flat head Fords hidden in sheds. I was recently in Hospital b4 Xmas and a bloke said he had a 39 std restored and put away in 1988. Took it out and she runs like a top. He offered it to me for $15,000 NZ....
@@IronTrapGarage I remember that one specifically because I wanted it so bad. I Just could not convince my finance department that it was a necessity :-)

You certainly have a unique business. There are a finite # of parts in barns. A podcast on your vision for ITG in 10 years would be interesting.
Great idea!
KRW tool repros... definitely!

We’re always looking for ways to have more fun with what we do!
Matt and Mike.... you guys need to come back to Australia for a visit soon too.
We can organise a cool time for you.

2 hours is long but enjoyed every minute of it, wouldn't have wanted anything left out.

We appreciate the support!
Bad Chad just started working on a 34 cabriolet. He should have some nice parts for sale. He might need a few good bits of advice.

You do not want to race a engine the runs hot . In a quarter mile run it will go BOOM .
It doesn’t get hot unless sitting in traffic.

You didn't give Steve credit for helping with the warehouse move. I seen him help a lot.
He did help a lot!
Did you give up finishing the sweet heart roadster and also you just quit building the 33 coupe
Nope. Just haven’t worked on the sweetheart recently. We worked on the 33 like a month ago..
Pendine Sands 20th 21st September 2025 …be there
Cant keep them for ever
