SO excited to read CLEAR! One of the few writing about the Clearances in fiction--one I'm very familiar with since I wrote about it myself! (Scot-o-phile here) 💗
I need to read Lucy Worsley's book on Jane Austen as I really loved her book on Agatha Christie also. August books read include My Brother Michael by Mary Stewart, Pale Horse by Agatha Christie, The House at Riverton by Kate Morton, The Art Thief by Michael Finkel, and I am finishing up by reading The Girl with the Seven Names: Escape from North Korea by HYEONSEO LEE. The Palace book sounds fascinating.
@@AngelasBookcase It was so good and heartbreaking too. It really shows how destructive an addiction can be. Many booktubers talked about this book and it was in my library and I am so glad that I read it.
How exciting you saw Anthony LaPaglia perform; I like him a lot! A couple of months ago my local theatre put on a fantastic production of To Kill a Mockingbird and Atticus Finch was played by Richard Thomas. If you aren’t familiar with him, he played John Boy on The Waltons which was a popular American tv show in the 70’s. Enjoy your weekend!
Glad summer is on its way for you, we’re heading into Autumn here in England but it’s still nice and warm. Question for you, is your summer reading usually different to other seasons?
❤📚❤️ I read My Cousin Rachel last October and absolutely loved it as well!
Who is the art print by on the wall? It's so beautiful!
I made the art print! It is an enormous photograph I took a long time ago on our south west coast ❤️
That is so cool!! I thought is was a painting at first. Would love to see the whole photograph.

Such an interesting topic - I love when these authors shed light on things like this!

I’m also a Tudor-phile 😂
I cannot get enough of that era! Unbelievable how much they impacted in the world.
Death of a salesman is so hard to read.💔

La P aglia was so good I kept thinking he was actually losing his marbles while playing Loman who WAS losing his mind. Very good 👍

Yes my reading is a little different, I usually want page turners in summer. I definitely read more because we have a lot of holidays and downtime.
@@AngelasBookcase I’ll look forward to seeing what you read.
