repent TODAY, forsake your sinful way of life, and believe in the Gospel.
salvation is found only in the LORD JESUS CHRIST alone, Who took upon the sin of the world on that cross, bearing the pain and punishment we deserve(d), that our sins may be atoned for, and He is risen [in glory] for our justification, that we may be made right with GOD, that we may know Him, be adopted by Him and reconciled to Him -- forgiven, set free from the curse of sin and death, and made as new creatures in CHRIST alone.

Thank you, Valerie! I’m a psychologist in Michigan, USA, with many patients who are creative by nature. I have been referring them to your channel, not only because of your interest and skills in art, but also because of the gentle wisdom that you share in your videos. I truly appreciate the calm encouragement that you offer your viewers, as well as your willingness to acknowledge your own struggles in life. On a personal note, I recently made the decision to reduce my work hours to only two days per week, in order to follow my own creative desires. I now spend four days per week writing, with a focus on writing fictional novels. It’s been my dream for many years to transition to freelance writing as a career. It’s been going very well and I’m absolutely loving the quiet lifestyle of being a writer. Thank you for the positive influence you’ve had on my own journey! I’ll continue to tune in to your videos for inspiration and encouragement. Best wishes!

Self-taught artists can be as sophisticated with both art and craft as people who are formally trained, and in our experience, they work every bit as hard. Who else noticed what the artist did with her tape, by the way? That's a great technique for reducing adhesive power so it will release from the paper without damage!

Valerie, I just discovered your video channel and was so touched. You are the very person I needed to listen to at this time. I am 73 years old and never received much if any, encouragement in my life. I listened to the negative input from others but deep inside I believed I was different from what I always heard. I was an older adult before I realized that I enjoyed learning new things. I discovered Turkish drama and film and have become addicted to watching their dizis with English subtitles and learning the language simply by doing so. Due to many medical issues, I am restricted from doing activities that are physically taxing. I recently decided I wanted to learn how to do watercolor paintings. I am naturally attracted to colors. I love the softness and movement of the watercolors. I do not know how to draw, at all. But, I purchased some paints, and paper and began watching tutorials. I am enjoying it so much that my favorite part of each day is devoting time to my practice boards. You are an inspiration to so many people. Thank you for sharing your time and amazing talent, but most of all your inspiring words of encouragement and wisdom about life.

Yes don't give up. I stay away from social media for the most part. I just post and leave. You can't allow that stuff to affect you or your growth. I feel like visual artists are very underrated. I see some people who post legit great work may get only a few likes vs someone who's modeling in from of art. Not saying their work isn't good, but you can see clearly where the work went more into. So yes keep your head up. I been self taught since I was 3. Even when I feel like giving up, I tell myself not to. I came way too far. .y only obstacles now are personal issues like anxiety and depression I been dealing with all my life and more after I had to leave art college. But I'm hanging in there. My first gifts in life were to be a musician and sculptor. Growing up, I felt into the society patterns and I was struggling for years looking for a direction or purpose in life. In my early 20s I faced death twice, and survive! Then I got many great jobs, got nice income but I had ZERO chance to create. I almost let my creative power die. In 2009 I left home and move to the other side of the world, got into a relationship, more stress and anxiety. But music and art was always there to support my journey. I am so happy to see Valerie and found this gorgeous channel concept. Is a combination of VLOG+ART CREATION+PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT and have like a hipnotic feeling right? Love it. Living in the 21st century and starting to teach yourself new things goes hand in hand and I’m so grateful to life in a time where we have access to the internet, where we built communities like this on, in Valerie’s comment section or when Valerie builds her PC and finds help and answers to every question from people who share their insight. You can learn so many new things basically for free because the internet gives you resources you wouldn’t have had in this quantity and quality even 50 years ago. When I have a question it just takes 2 seconds to find out an answer. That’s really powerful and I have to smile every time my grandma asks me how I learned to crochet (for example) and I just say “I went on TH-cam and saw thousands of videos for free”. Pre-builds can be cheaper but you have very little control over the choice of components, which can get in the way of upgrading something in the future. For example you could only get 2 RAM slots or get a power supply that's only good enough for the current load. Valerie, I rarely ever comment on TH-cam videos but I had to leave a comment for this one because to me, in of itself, it is a work of art. Valerie your ability with storytelling, editing, and narration is really superb. I love your natural, calm, pacing and authentic delivery when you're speaking, and your instincts for what to film to tell your story are excellent. And here's an even bigger compliment coming from me: I love to learn and I daily take in so much information watching videos that I now have a personal practice of accelerating the speed of every TH-cam video in my settings, such that they will play at 1.75 to 2.0 speed, because my brain can take it in that fast and I have so much I want to consume in a day that I don't have time for the pacing styles of today's creators. However, when it came to this video, which is the first one I've ever seen of yours, I could not bring myself to speed it up as I normally would do. This was because to me it was such a perfect balance of information, visuals, narration and editing that enthralled me within moments of it beginning and I couldn't bring myself to alter that in any way. And please let me take a second to tell you that the message, or more appropriately the messages that you shared in this video were potent, accurate, and will leave the world a better place, because those that see this will be impacted in such a positive way. My hope is that many people of all different ages have the chance to soak in your generous sharing of your philosophies and how they are helping you to not only succeed but to truly experience as you say how "Nobody pats better than you on your own shoulder". Now that quote is a keeper! I need a t-shirt with that on it (from your merch line). I wish you continued success with your art which you clearly have a huge talent for. I hope you continue to enjoy expressing your creativity through video, film, and narration as well, because your talents in those area are also clearly gifted. Best wishes. Tim

So many of us ( me too)have strayed from following our own dreams and goals. It's so important to be true to oneself and you demonstrate this in every video. I was SO surprised to see you building a computer! I thought "what's this got to do with an artistic life?" at first but of course your point is that we can do almost anything we desire with patience and focus. It's no different to doing other stuff! Inspiring...very...as always. Thanks for the visit to Potsam too! Great video. You get an A+ again from me!!
P.S. Tomorrow I'm going to practice my levitating skills too! 😁🙂😍

I watched this video yesterday and it was absolutely what I needed to hear!! I’m an engineer and currently job hunting in Silicon Valley. I had panel interviews today of 7 hours with engineers across a big tech company and I was really freaking out yesterday. I needed to do a presentation on a technical challenge that I solved inside out. I had so much anxiety around it but I felt so much better in my knowledge and my faith in my abilities after watching your video. Your video totally grounded me and calmed me down. Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos you make!! You are making such a difference in our lives! Also, as a computer engineer, I’m very impressed with your computer building skills 😊🙏🏼

When something touches my soul on a deep level, I cry. And this video makes me cry. I feel so betrayed by the world and what I was told to believe. Grieving that takes time, but hearing you talk and seeing you work helps me towards that. I’m at a point in my life where I’m making a big decision, and I’ve spent a few months actively healing old wounds with a schooled healer. And it’s surfaced so many fears and so much pain. And it also pains me to watch this, because I know I have to grieve the old while I heal and continue on my true path. Thank you for helping me on that journey🧡

Thank you, Valerie, for these glimpses of your creative life. Building your own PC? I am gobsmacked by your inherent genius. That such a piece of equipment can also have aesthetic appeal made me look with renewed respect at my 2016 Mac BookPro! My idea of "high tech" would be a Mont Blanc Pen, so the idea of building a PC is clearly not on my agenda. However, your dedication in designing a PC that is beautiful as well as functional is an inspiration. You are a gifted person but you are also a gift as a person to those of us who follow your creative journey. You are very young to have learned how to follow your own path in life. You never have to stop learning, especially when it is something interesting to you. Thank you for always providing such nice videos. I've been self-taught for as long as I can remember, but over the years I decided to listen more to the world around me and put my dreams aside. I'm an artist and I know it, but I often put it aside to follow the normal life of an adult. Today I regret it a lot! But it's never too late, I always come back to the same point, and I must accept who I am, what shines in my eyes and what I love to do. Thank you so much for this video. Congratulations on your PC and then tell us how this build went.

At age 52 I decided to draw again and my family and friends were blown away that not only can I draw, but I can sketch anything into a realistic copy (I'm not sure what the art term is) I now love to do drawings for my friends of their pets as a hobby. So many wasted years. Now I'm learning to paint. Secondly, I grew up in the 70's and 80s helping my dad build computers and I've helped my teenage son several times with building computers. Valerie 😩 I’m crying in my car watching this. The last sentence got me. I wish s o o o o badly that I knew any of this when I was a child or in my 20s, for that matter. For whatever reason I believed the opposite until recently. “Nobody pays better than you on your own shoulder.” Why did I believe so much that I couldn’t have what I wanted or I couldn’t be happy the way my life was already set up? I thought for sure that I needed my parents to be present and supportive-without them I’m missing out. It’ll be so much better if they were more attentive. Then that turned into me believing that I wasn’t important. That’s why they aren’t interested in connecting with me. I wish I knew that I just need me and I can create the life I want. Depending on ppl is a terrible idea and it feels so disappointing when they aren’t available.
Thank you so much for helping me form a new, powerful mindset. 🙏🏽

I’ve started describing my self-teaching as being moderately expert at becoming and being a beginner in almost anything.
I also had a strict upbringing in several areas, and restrictions on what I was allowed to read. But my parents were both DIYers - my mother a graphic designer and my father a musician and tinkerer. All of us daughters are self-teachers to some degree.
I’ve reached the point where it seems like every new skill area I cultivate is informed by many past skill areas, even areas I wouldn’t expect a lot of relevance like between weaving and soft metal fabrication. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in an attractive video.
