    Thanks for sharing, Nick! This sounds amazing on my EMGs 81/85.
    For the people asking about the IRs, the first one is included in the IR pack that is in the description. The second one (ZLBW) I found in another OwnHammer pack which is the 412 ZLCS V30 MMMC. You can find it at 412 ZLBW > V30 > Mic Pair Mixes > C414.

    Sounds crushing. I used your template, and I have another using the Panama into an oversized Mesa 4×12..I may have got that from another video of yours, but man does it also get their chewy chunk bottom rhythm down pat. You da man Nick.

    Hey Nick,
    Thanks for this video. Always a great tonal inspiration. I am using an old Ibanez rgd with bareknuckle aftermaths pickups I have added afterwards. I am dialing in your tone first, than roll back the gain one or two points as well as the presence. Boom, awesome and tight tone. The bareknuckles do have a slight overload of high end and gain, so I am always doing this move. However, your tones have always been a great starting point! And they sound killer with the ML soundlab djent cab pack. Have you tried them?
    Rock on, Moe

      Moe! Brother, thanks for the love. I really appreciate it. I have not played with the ML due to pack. Is it worth checking out ya think? I always end up back at Ownhammer but I’m always open to exploring new tools. Glad to be able to help you on your tone journey.

    Quick question where can I get the IR’s? I’m still learning and also I made this KSE tone off my POD Go by watching this video and also amazing video and I just need the IR’s and which one should I use the most because I can only use one IR on the POD Go?

  • @stevehill7201
    @stevehill7201 ปีที่แล้ว

    So do you believe taking away the IRs since Im using a real amp and cab will make a huge difference in the sound ? Kinda new to modelers but this seems the way to go these days. Thanks

    • @NickHillMakesMusic
      @NickHillMakesMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. There is a huge difference in creating tones to be used with real cabs in real spaces.

    I don’t have these exact IR’s (I used two different ownhammer Mesa 4x12 cabs), but I dialed everything else as you did and mine sounds like butt. Yours sounds great though. The Mesa IR’s usually sound awesome but not quite doing it with this for some reason. Hmmm... 🤔

    • @NickHillMakesMusic
      @NickHillMakesMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I get this often and I’m never sure what insight to offer. Keep experimenting is all I’d say. Thanks for being here though. I know it’s frustrating when one isn’t able to replicate a sound but remember, I’m using different pickups, guitar and I play heavy handed. Cheers man

      @@NickHillMakesMusic Thanks, Nick. I played around with the IR's a bit and got a much better sound. I think a bit more tweaking on the amp to suit my PUP's will do what I need.

    This is a great tone.. Question... I want to use this for a live application but my live set up uses a complete out and a send to a power amp and cab on stage.... Is there a way to get the send to include the EQ shelf and Tilt but before the ir blocks? I could move the eqs but wouldnt that defeat the purpose?

    • @NickHillMakesMusic
      @NickHillMakesMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you’re definitely going to have to adjust or create a tone specifically for live stuff as these tones are typically best for recording scenarios. Experiment my dude

  • @MarkRoskillyGuitar

    Hi Nick
    I have a Helix question. I am recording my Helix Rack in to Reaper at 44.8 sample rate (along with a copy print of the DI) But when I slap NATIVE on to the DI using the same patch, it sounds slightly better with NATIVE than the actual Helix Rack live recording. The only thing I think that if different is that my reaper project is set to 44.1 sample rate.
    Basically my question is... Sample rates... What's it all about? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Is bigger better.. Do certain rates cause harsh fizziness? 🤔

    • @NickHillMakesMusic
      @NickHillMakesMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is rough to answer. My gut is that your DI is running into Native a bit hotter (louder) pushing your helix native amp block a bit more. If you meant 48 up above vs 44.1, 48 would be of higher fidelity. Basically capturing more audio “pictures,” per second but that would be super hard to notice.

  • @michaelagarano1092

    Which cab ir would you recommend if you had to choose between the 2? I have an hx stop so I'm a little limited on blocks

    • @NickHillMakesMusic
      @NickHillMakesMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess the Zilla 412 because I'm using more of that in the tone volume wise
