The path to understanding the soul is through the heart, not the mind. In part one of this two-part program, Gary Zukav maintains that the process of spiritual growth is one of aligning the personality with the soul. He also suggests that an understanding of the soul necessitates a nonjudgmental reverence for all of life.
In part two of the DVD, Zukav states that we have crossed a major threshold in which we are learning to seek the spiritual empowerment of the soul rather than the superficial rewards of external power. He discusses the role of spirit guides and teachers, as well as intuition, in facilitating the growth of the soul, and suggests that native American peoples have maintained an appreciation for the soul that has largely been lost in modern society.

I read his book "dancing wu li masters" when i was 23 or 24,i am now 61, it changed my life.
I have re-read it a dozen times and parts a hundred times.
I have given copies to my kids and my friends.
I was an athiest growing up,i loved science.learning subatomic physics has enlightened my spirit and i know there is a God, i still dont like "religion" but i Love "God".
Praise Yah-the great suchness of things,that which Is.
My relationship with my nameless God and my guiding light is worth more to me than any physical temporary thing.

Thank you doc for such amazing explanation regarding Intuition! It's really true. I have a very strong intuition that I can hear voices telling me instructions what to do many years ago and now I am seeing sequence of numbers and I tried to google the meaning of it and it was my Angels communicating with me in the now situation!!!
Sometimes I am confused of the meaning but somehow it is my guide which direction I will go in my own choice!

These are non-human beings. author and researcher warren b smith and ray yungen on youtube say these are fallen angels demons who deceive people. see this other point of view. i mean to pursue the truth NOT to character assassinate anyone. we are all human beings.

I wish I knew when this program was recorded. It might give me a sense of how long ago Zukav spoke these words and their farsightedness. I am generally an optimist but whenever I turn on a television (and I try to keep it to a minimum) I get a sense of hopelessness for this culture called America. It seems completely lost in mindless entertainment and materialistic appetite.

Noe, the lack of dates is irritating. Gary Zukav was born in 1942 so he is now about 73. 'Seat of the Soul' was published 1989, 26 years or so ago.
So this must be at least 47 years old in the interview.
You are right about a lost nation. But I believe, and 'everyone' I talk to thinks a big crash is coming, one the government cannot buy its way out of.
In times of grave difficulty, people seem to wake up to greater possibilities. America is impoverished, most of the world is not doing well. The greed of the ultra wealthy is to blame and it is devouring itself.
There is hope.

This piece pertains to Gary Zukav's excellent work of the same name, *The Seat of the Soul* published in 1989. I assume this piece was recorded very soon after. And you may have heard of his other classic, *The Dancing Wu Li Masters* published in 1979.
Actually, after checking, Mr Zukav looks a bit older. So also wanting to know for myself,......after a little digging, this was recorded in 1998.
Yes! The Dancing Wu Li Masters -- one of my favorite books. I took to it immediately when I read it some 20 years ago. It saddens me that in today's world you cannot talk about such things without getting a sneer or a smirk from some know-it-all cynic.
Noe Berengena Yes, but it's the know-it-alls that are actually lacking. In the preface of many(may even be most) works on quantum physics there's often ridicule of such works. It almost seems like it is to be expected so as to show that the author is a steadfast "scientist". Often confusing science with scientism. They neglect to mention that many of the world's brightest physicists, Einstein, Planck, Schrodinger, Heisenberg, Born, etc, all had a profound interest in the parallels quantum physics has with the wisdom of Eastern philosophy, and went on several expeditions to the Far East to visit spiritual masters. Oppenheimer quoted the Bhagavad~Gita after witnessing the destruction of the atomic bomb and Bohr even altered his family crest to incorporate the Taijitu. And other great works, from *The Tao of Physics* to *The Quantum and the Lotus* clearly show the error of their ways.
We have ALWAYS been multi sensory until programming, aka religion...

This is how I interpret it: We are now being influenced not just by the immediate stimuli we encounter physically in the world, but by residual energy from great people who have lived before us. Just one example of this would be how one can read a book that was written hundreds or thousands of years ago and be changed ...

I see a major contradiction in Gary’s reincarnation model, which goes as follows:
1) In his book, the Seat of the Soul, Gary says: ”After an incarnation, the soul returns once again to it’s natural state of compassion, clarity and boundless love.
2) But Gary also says that the purpose of our many physical incarnations is to heal and evolve the soul.
So my question Is: If the soul’s natural state is compassion, clarity and boundless love, then what on earth does the soul need to heal from or evolve into? It’s already in a natural, pristine state of boundless love. I don’t get it
The soul or SELF SPIRIT is fine by itself.
It's the unique consciousness of each individual soul which is going through changes till it finds its true SELF Which is same in all of us like rain 🌧 drops from the Ocean sea 🌊 of Divine Love ❤
The masterful teacher Joseph Campbell spoke of the 'unseen guiding hands' on his own life decades before this guy and I do like this man. He speaks truth but it is not original in any way. Even the degenerate writer Hank Bukowski understood the power of walking alone so that the gods will follow and guide the lone warrior on his spirit path. Important truth here is that guides and teachers et al are not in any way associated with religion or a dogma deity and shit like that. The energies he talks about are all around us from mother earth - maka akhan, 'earth energy.' That incessant sensation of being watched or enhanced and led are our relatives, known and unknown. Trick is to determine which are good and those who've come to do harm/evil. Beware spirit energy work less you fall into the trap of witchcraft which will destroy everything. Or as a friend said once, be careful what you invite into your life. It sometimes never leaves. Peace, aho!
He is right. I have come to the same conclusion myself. This is the immaterial 'spiritual' world. Quantum physics has proven this time and time again through empirical proof. If it is not observed by awareness/consciousness it does not exist.

You can see things as spiritual or see things as physical, but when you start deciding certain things are in one category and certain things are in another you are delusional. You will never align the two categories when you are actively separating them.

I am an atheist and my wife is "Spiritual" however she is unable to define or defend her "faith" in such a way that I can understand it and discuss it with her in any meaningful way. She asked me to listen to this, saying that he articulated her belief in an immortal soul, in a way that she cant.......
I genuinely tried to make sense of this, but it's just meaningless drivel presented in a beautifully soft spoken and compelling manner! He fails to offer any real definitions, and doesn't actually take any firm positions or offer any concrete positions or evidence. He just makes a series of bold ass assertions and unfalsifiable claims. He completely fails to define the Soul after stating his intent to do so. It all sounds beautiful, but when you actually try and dig down there is no substance! I'm left completely underwhelmed.......
Sure their is. The soul is like the real life force within us, our bodies, it's our true essence, it was here before we were born and will move on when our bodies die. Now there is no concrete evidence for that it's something learned or felt intuitively and from life experience. There is suffering in life but there is also love, hopefully abundantly, the body feels pain and can suffer, ones soul or spirit can suffer but only ones soul can feel love and joy, there more abstract beyond the body that can only be felt through a emotion-energy in motion- the spirit or soul which is the main or bigger part of our being. Sure the body can feel comfort and pleasure but I think love is something felt by more than our bodies. A lot of people who have had near death experiences, having been temporarily declared dead or very close to it talk of experienceing a all encompassing feeling of pure love. Others have experienced the opposite and upon coming back realized I need to change my ways, kinda like scrooge in a christmas carol. A lot of the ones that felt the sense of being bathed in pure love didnt want to come back, understandably but had families or lessons to share and teach and more life on earth to live. So the speaker is pretty much saying that humanity is waking up or realizing that we have spirits that live on, we are way more than our bodies and our five senses. So we want to keep this in mind and work on our souls, become mature and remember that our spirit and love are much more important in the long run than our fleeting pleasures, our suffering, our ego or perceived self or being the be all. It doesnt have to have anything to do with religion, organized religion but simply realizing we are or may be spiritual beings above all else.
