Excellent relatable videos. Love your C30. Have my C30 #2 ( Sven ), 2012 T5 M6 polestar chipped, Caspian blue, blonde interior. They are very special cars. I have done some minor mods, and really appreciate your videos and the actual procedures of repairing and upgrading. I am a Falken fan for my 18s ( more of a comfort/ performance preference), but love to hear your insight and opinion re tires. These cars are keepers, almost a collectors. Mine still smells new, and its 12 years old. Worth every penny keeping it in perfect condition. Your channel is unique, as its not just "showy," but also practical. Thanks, and hi from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you :D I really appreciate it! Tires in America and Europe are mostly completely different from what I know, with different models that are exclusive to each continent, with a large focus on "all seasons" in America, but in Canada i suppose you are actually using winter tires? Definitely keepers, I actually physically can't get rid of it if not to get another, (maybe T5) C30. Such unique cars! Caspian blue is a rare one, from what I know it's only available on the non R-designs.
@@VinnesAuto Thank you. Not sure about unusualness of the colour, the Caspian Blue. I actually prefer the colour of your C30 # 2. My 2012 C30 is "sportier" than my first 2011 Black Sapphire Metallic C30. The 2011 was more "elegant' and loaded with everything possible (not my choice). It was an automatic, even equipped with parking sensors. I bought both, pre-owned from Volvo in Ottawa, and the second from Volvo in Montreal Quebec. For my existing (keeper) 2012 C30, not an R-design, chipped by Volvo, I drove to a Volvo dealer about 12 hours away, as it's an M6 and hard to find. Beautiful condition, about 77 K when I bought. Now 87K. I am a fan of the blonde interior. I know that is not everyone's preference. Our weather, in my location, is similar to most mid regions in Norway. Perhaps a little colder, and more snowfall. Very hot summers, too hot. Often now with humidity 40c. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport, are known as a phenomenal tire. They run about $250 each, Cdn. My Falken Azenis FK510's 225/40R18 run about $225 each, Cdn. Clearly not a full performance like the Goodyears. Summer tires are on from mid-May, with aftermarket gloss black Mission wheels. They look nice with my black calipers, but don't break the bank. The end of October, I switch to Champiro Icepro 17's with OEM Volvo wheels I refinished in my garage - picked up second hand (Sagitta). I did have the OEM Spartacus, which I prefer and should not have sold. My summer wheels on my 2011 were similar to your gold wheels, they were Volvo OEM Freja's. I am pretty hyper focused about my car, sorry to go on and on lol I would love to have a run with the Goodyears you have on yours and feel the difference. I really like all the wheels you have chosen; each one/style and colour, would have looked great on my 11' since it was black. The Caspian blue limits the colours of wheels I choose. ps. I could not imagine All Season tires, ugh! I value my life and my car hahaha no offence to anyone! (I know they are quite popular in many countries). Also, we get an insurance discount if we do not use All Seasons. Edit* the rims you bought second-hand off of the V40, are my preference. I have been searching high and low for those. We didn't get the V40 in Canada (a shame as I would have that as a second car for me & my dog). I am unsure what other models had those rims in 18 inch.
@ginny1068 yeah, at least in Norway, you rarely see the caspian blue. Wow, everything is usually more expensive here, but i pay only about $145 us per tire in the same size. The "Metallah" rims are actually quite nice, but not only was it just sold on the v40s, but exclusively on high spec V40 Cross Countrys, making them quite rare to find second hand. I have seen them a few places sold new. There is a new website called "made by Sweden" or something like that? That sells a lot of oem accessories and wheels, they might have them. I got mine for a steal second hand for only $330 us. I actually saw one up for sale yesterday with a blonde interior, and I actually didn't mind it.
I just ordered a set of this jr sl01 wheels with goodyear supersports for my slk 200 r171. Now i've seen your video i'm very hyped for the first drive. Good video!
Great video. As you said good tires are so important. Glad you found your No1 tire. Love the Gopro angle, it's so cool to see the tire moving, especially during the last two minutes. What cars were passing you in the end?

Nice! Both excellent options!

Definitely! Yeah, only thing is the fear of the gopro falling off 😅. A group of BMWs, M3 and some other ones.
@@VinnesAuto Yeah I would constantly worry about that as well :D
