Super cool setup, I can only imagine the wiring, sensors you had to install and also the button mapping. You got it working and it looks awesome. I think you need to get a bigger monitor or curved screen and it would feel even more realistic. But I love this setup.

normally i wouldt game on just two screens but i think it be fine here if he got a sencond screen and did the same thing as he did with the first.. i mean that truck has a line between the real windows? aha idk maybe just zoom it in a little more so you dont see the dash twice lol
@@finck9226 Yeah that is true. Although, with the TrackIR, it tracks your head movements rven with multiple screens. It is just an addition and is not necessary.
TOBII 5 head and eye tracking is better, no need to wear any transmitter or anything on your head or self anywhere..... t's supported within the game settings too for Tobii 4 or 5. Cheers

that's awesome while MP is down not updated to 1.36 yet I been using my spare time to make another cockpit until MP comes back online I got the order done for the BOX now all I need is 2 ipads for taco and speedo's and trailer screen for the telemetry I use for both game saves on audrino board and I be using another usb game controller for the switches. BUT overall I love your setup bro looks awesome little word advice ( I don't know what colour cables your PC uses but if you want find the one gives out 12 volts from the power supply and you be even able to run a car radio like I have done) keep the work coming bro and keep us updated on your setup you done a awesome job
That is so badass! One tip though, I recently removed the ingame steering wheel (you can do that through the console) and positioned my camera/seat to where the gauges are closer to the bottom of the screen, I find that more immersive.
I drive trucks IRL working to save up to getting a 379 some day my dad used to drive one with that same dash style. That's my favorite dash of the 379's, and for home time I'd like to build a sim rig with a dash like that, but I want all the guages and things to work lol.

I like your setup; especially using what looks like a truck panel. I'm just starting with ATS. I have an old Thrustmaster wheel that only rotates 180 degrees. I'm thinking of getting the G29;. It looks like the best wheel/pedals in my price range. What do you think about that wheel?
I'm not sure if you've decided on the wheel yet, but I can tell you that its an amazing wheel for the price that its at right now! I have the G920 counterpart which is the Xbox edition because I use my wheel on both my PC and Xbox. You definitely won't regret the G29 wheel, unless like I said you already made your decision.

And I want to be able to go up to 18 speeds. I see there are a lot of 18 speed shifters out there, but I have a question. Do I need the Logitech shifter in addition to a custom 18 speed shifter in order to get 18 speeds? If i do need both shifters for a good setup, so be it, but if I don't then I'll use that extra money for something else.. Thanks for your help.

The only thing you need is the TrackIR. You will be fully immersed. I am digging the setup.
