Im updating my old comment. Force motors have completely fixed the problem with 1st/2nd gear and now it works flawlessly. Thanks for Force motors for taking this matter seriously and fixing gearbox. Old Comment I never wanted to post this but unfortunately I could not resist my frustration. This vehicle has a shitty gearbox . 1st and 2nd gear does not get engaged easily and rebounds to neutral . You need to exert more energy and multiple attempts to engage 1/2 gear in bangalore traffic . It appears that Force motors launched this product in haste without testing the gearbox in a race to launch 5 door against Thar. Now my vehicle is back to showroom to introduce synchronizer in gear box. All that research that I have done for the past 1 year has gone in vein .
This vehicle tests the patience of its owners,hats off to those who maintain this beast with all these niggles. Buying a gurkha is definitely a heart over mind decision, but i pray, you dont get tested more

The Gurkha, price wise, is in an arena where sorted and niggle free options are available. No mainstream company makes vehicles for a handful of hardcore off-roaders, water waders, slush spinners, cliff hoppers or ditch skimmers. Therefore, everything will have limitations for such folk. They don’t generate enough business for companies to factor in their “needs” - simple. However, niggles, rust, busted seals and bearings, abnormal noises, and general unreliability will not help Force.
Really good analysis. Don't you think that engine noise in the cabin should be reduced? Even KPL of vehicle needs to be improved. The automatic facility needs to be provided too. To make it genuine 7 seater, the length of vehicle needs to be marginally increased.
I feel they are making vehicles around the engine ( 2.6 diesel engine ) . And not an engine around the car. We are running two travellers with same 2.6 engine . So seems like company is lacking engine availability
Mai to bc dukhi ho gya tha ki gurkha ke jagah storme second hand li but iss video ne mujhe motivate kiya ki my decision was correct. Storme innova se bhi jyada comfortable hai and long travels ke liye better hai but hardcore off roading to ig below average hai due to such soft suspension so better than gurkha.

Force is still behind the competition when it comes to parts reliability and engineering. They don't even learn after seeing the competition. Who gives third row captain seats by degrading second row bench seats on legroom and comfort. I can see the rear wheel lifting up, almost nil suspension travel at rear. The breakage of steering Tie rod ends is a manufacturing flaw or they are using it from some other car not suv [SUV tie rods+ends are always bult heavier in comparison with sedans with FWD.], nothing to do with suspension, even if the suspension is not able to absorb the obstacle. The way you have simulated boulder obstacle passing was perfect with foot path, Thar can easily do it, without any breaking of any of its links. With my Solid axle Bolero 4WD with coil spring suspension all around, I have done such obstacles many times without breaking anything.

Bhai mere pass Safari Dicor hai and uski life khatam ho rahi hai... Kya mein Gurkha 5 Door le loon.. Mujhe apni poori family ke saath Sara India ghoomna hai, Har ek area jana hai.. kya ye sahi option hai... Mujhe koi bhi Off Road ka shauk nahi hai,,, only Remote areas , Highways , Snow covered , High hills etc ghoomna hai... Pls suggest ... I also don't like Gimmicks...
You and I we've both been to Sandakphu in our 4x4s. And I don't think this Gurkha is a good choice for that terrain - reasons being : 1. Poor articulation 2. Too tall which can hamper stability combined with poor articulation. 3. Weak drivetrain components 4. Not friendly for aftermarket functional improvements However I would like to point out that the things you are pointing out as niggles, in my view they are problems. Niggles are something that we can live with. But whatever you are saying , they are reliability issues.

Im shocked to see, you want the SUV to be shorter in height. This is the only SUV thats true in sense with perfect height which looks similar to that of Safari Dicor/Storme. Niche kro niche kro gaadi ko mat bolo bhai🙏 Thar, jimny, dunia jahan ki so called SUVs h jo niche h vo lelo. Mat lena Gurkha but dont ask company to reduce the height. Force motors improved a lot from its preceder. But lagging behind competitors. They must keep a bench marking vehicle to match quality.
If we get the wheel bearing size we can import better quality bearings from Japan. Same i have done for my yamaha rx 135

It's a smaller Indian company with mostly jugaad engineering. Don't expect any sort of quality or reliability from Force.
