I'm pretty sure its because of legend that towers have such a far reaching range in Warhammer total war.

if you want to waist the ennemy ammo (archer javelin ...) just bring a catapult in range of them take your mens out of the artillery put them safe behind the artillery and enjoy the show ;)

use the art without ammo especially it works with siege equipment as well

But they are going to use fire arrows and burn your stuff

@@HelloThere-pb3cp Not necessarily. I mean if they do then yeah that's bad but normally they wouldn't use flaming shot if they're targeting your infantry, especially if it's not super light. Plus you're supposed to be doing it with either onagers with no remaining ammo, or an extra ram or something useless.

I agree it is hard for this battle what's more shocking is it took them 3 years to break the walls and gates and destroy carthage.

There were 500,000 people inside which is a factor.

Even on normal difficulty the carthagenian units won’t break when surrounded. Even better there’s sacred band and elephants even after all the african pikes. Really need to use the velites to win.

You should hide your Triarii behind your siege tower or behind the back bevel at the beach to minimize losses.

I'm at about 20 minutes and I don't know that I'll watch 2 hours of artillery bombing but if you don't destroy that wall to trap those troops on it I'll be very disappointed.

hey i have a question for you guys so i just started to play total war (rome and atilla) and i always get rebellions because of that fucking squalor eventho i build fountains and aqueducs any tips ?

    • @kingKapuzina
      @kingKapuzina 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Go for civil tech in general to unlock better buildings and more bonus to public order. Try to get squalor just from the money buildings if possible. Right culture and a hero might help too. I personally think that the gladiotor building in rome gives a lot of PO so its quite good. You can turn off the taxes for problematic regions tho it could hurt your income rather hard.

    • @Fish4Man61

Squalor doesn't really cause rebellions in Attila (but directly impacts public order in Rome1/METW2). It causes disease (which in the long run can lower public order however). At any rate, what you should be worried about is public order. Make the people happy, and they won't rebel. In RomeII & Attila, keep a look out for provincial instability as well for provinces that were just conquered or sacked recently, making the public order drop by huge degrees. It may or may not be easier to let the rebellion happen if your armies are nearby to crush it; because after the rebellion is suppressed the instability number goes away.
In Rome1 if that is the Rome you played, keep an eye out for how big the population is, and how far away it is from your capital (it will tax the public order the farther it is away), and perhaps even relocate your capital several times to the more center part of your empire. You can also custom set the tax for each city so as to have them give the most money without being rebellious. Though, especially early on, it may be more advisable to simply set it to low to build cities up; unless you are going for a rapid expansion set by building up your armies straight away - then try and max them out.
Religious unrest is another possibility, for all of the games. Try and pump your religion in a region until it is the most dominant force. With too many religions in a region there that are too powerful, it can easily be a rebellious city.
And perhaps the most important thing is to plan your settlements by not building too many buildings that cause negative public order. When you get more tech that increases it, it should actually increase that limit. Taxes for any TW are critical as well. But it is also your primary source of income, barring certain unique situations (high trade, or perhaps interest if you are the ERE in Attila), and lowering them to make them happy will limit much of your money. Balance this out between public order and money. I would be remiss to point out though that in Rome1 and earlier TWs, population is much more important. Sometimes exterminating a city (careful, can cut the money income drastically from that settlement) can make them lose any thoughts of rebellion...

the thing about this game i don`t get is first they make it so confusing to learn to play multiplayer which anything else eventually gets boring but also I have never really been able to find a decent game guide that just says what button does what to affect what unit..strategy is the easy part..also playing with yourself is boring..at least it is to me

When I fought this, I managed to do it on Legendary by the skin of my teeth. I breached wherever there was tropps on the walls and made sure no towers got in my way, I managed to win a skirmish inside the wals and they had moved their catapults behindthe wall which messed up any formations moving towards me, then i got all my missile units on the alls on the left, captured the tower and gate an then i got swarmed by harsemen so had the spearmen take them out. Not sure how I won that but i ended up using 2 units of skirmishers to capture 2 points and just sat back and waited for the countdown timer

yeah, from a Total War fan point of view I don't think I'll ever get over Rome 2 and what it turned out to be. Such a disappointment and really let me down after my initial overwhelming excitement when the game was initially announced...

What's really pathetic is the fact they had a winning formulae with Med 2, all they need to do was up that But NO they needed something flashy & new to sell to snotty nosed kids ... and it's working. Med 3 will be just like Rome2 & Attila.

i think rogal here is a bit confused because you split it up into 2 parts because of how fucking long this battle is.
goddamn it rogal you are a primarch you should be better than this, you can make the imperial palace yet not understand basic ideas like splitting it up because its fucking long?
