Two of my favourite things combined, a nice tune and the word "hunker". Finally.

Between the Folk on Foot Festival, this new song, and listening to the amazing new Lau Unplugged CD there’s a wee musical golden age happening in the midst of all this strangeness. Thanks for all the music, Kris!

Such confident playing. Inspirational and aspirational in one. This lockdown has its plus sides.

Isolation days .... I find so much encoragement in your soulful and brilliant songs, Kris. I can't stop listening to them. Hunker down, and the other songs in this "colloboration" are stripped, but nontheless packed with musical and personal emotions. In my opinion, the version of "More than you know" is slightly better here (with the foot-taps!) than the recorded version. Besides, my favourite song so far is "Westlin Winds"- on your latest album, it's mesmerizing. Keep up the good work, Kris - and please do as your father, come to Norway. Must be included in a world gig, you know...

Nice one Kris, you were really feeling that weren't you. Beautiful playing as always. It's been a hard going over the last couple of days and the time has really dragged, but this has given me a reminder of the good things still going on. All the very best to you and your family.

Folk music for the common man - hunker down and wind your next in as global fascism comes to a country near you. Do not resist and wait until we all become the Stasi of our time - informing on others as this invisible menace sweeps the globe. I am so disappointed at how folk music has become so fearful of challenging the state - it used to be a rallying cry for the down-trodden peasant and now it is the apologist of dictators.

They took to the roads, to the sea and highlands, to their holiday homes and the private islands, the cupboard is bare so YOU better keep giving, there's a man over there digging graves for the living.

@@KrisDreverGuitar I have to say Kris - your guitar playing is excellent. What is the song actually about then - have I got it wrong? The only defiance I have come across to date has been from Van Morrison and Ian Brown..!

    • @KrisDreverGuitar

@@richardmace1428 To me it's about entitlement and hypocrisy. You can't tell everyone to stay at home and then bugger off wherever you damn well please like you're above the law. I'd also say though that you can obviously interpret any song however you like but I wondered how you accounted for the lyric in the middle 8 in your reading of it. Hence my posting. K
