Yes mate, as you know family duty’s call and we don’t have all the time in the world, got to make the short time frames work and the ski certainly helps with that 🚀🚀✅🎣 hope your well Paz !
Hi Jack, great video and the fish good eating size . I'm happy to see you out there again mate makes my day. love your work. I getting better each day, thanks mate.
Hi Jack. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Great catch. I caught my first snapper fishing off the beach at Anglesea a few days ago. Pretty stoked, and it tasted great. Kind regards MP
Hey mate 👋 thank you for watching the adventure 😎✅ awesome bloody stoaked for ya!! Can’t beat a snapper from the beach the land based ones seem to taste best as you have often had to work your butt off for em 😅🎣 glad you scored mate well done!
Yeah mate the sunrise was beautiful, the wind not so much 🤮😂 yeah I reckon big sambo as well, I didn’t stand a chance and I knew that from the second it took off 😂😂 thanks for watching!
Thanks mate!! Haha yes I’m a busy man and got a young family I need to spend time with so if I can get out there and back in as soon as possible it’s a big win for me haha 😀🎣 no point to keep catching when I don’t need to, almost like shooting fish in a barrel that morning 😂🎣✅ thanks heaps for watching!!
Hey mate 👋 yes this was Sunday but sunrise 😅 hope you got a couple. I thought it was going to be a lot nicer than it was but I should learn it’s often worse out there than what the weather man was predicting 😂👍🏻 cheers for watching mate!!
Cheers mark 👍🏻 yeah shark on big sambo would be my guess, that “spot” I was fishing usually has a sambo or two kicking around. Cheers for watching bud ✅🎣
Gday mate, I seen you at the ramp that morning. You gave me some advice. We are going tomorrow morning off two rocks. Just wondering how far you go out and at what depth. There sure was a big swell out that morning
Hey mate 👋 nice to meet you the other day. Good luck in the morning. I go out to approx 30m deep that’s about as far as I like to go but most of my fishing is in super shallow, the morning in this vid I was fishing the back of the 3 mile. The swell was cranking your not wrong I was a little nervous dropping the anchor where I did in the near dark but it all worked out haha 😂🎣🚀 cheers for watching!
I got a 79cm pinky about 12nm out around some pots and about 7 sambos. Even a double header sambo on my bottom meat. Weather was perfect this morn@rush.gang.fishing
Good work man!! Glad you scored a snapper and got to tangle with some sambos!! So much fun! I’m Spewing a didn’t get out this morning I had a feeling the weather was going to be magic 😃
Totally agree with you mate, same sort of principle as I feel big boats struggle inshore more then a tinny/kayak would, big boat casts big shadow and makes too much noise for the shallow snaps, I prob don’t need to cast right out the back on the ski they possibly may even come right up to the burley bag one day ( that’s the dream haha ) thanks heaps for watching mate truly appreciate it 🎣👍🏻✅
Hey mate, loving the videos! Ive got a fishpro as well but fairly new to the demersal fishing. Out of interest how are you set up for anchoring the ski/what anchor are you running. I fish mainly out the back of garden island and really don't want to lose the anchor in the reef. Cheers
Hey mate 👋 cheers for the support !! Yes trying to pull a stuck anchor from the ski isn’t fun 😂 as the way I fish I do anchor on the reef so unfortunately I do loss the odd anchor not too often but it does happen, on the ski you just can’t get the pulling power to get a fully stuck one out 😅 instead of loosing the nice seadoo anchor I run a large handline with 50m of rope on it and a small cheap anchor from bcf, ( small reef anchor ideal if you can find one ) and I just tie if off to the side of the ski near the front ✅✅🎣 good luck mate nailing good Demersal fish from the ski sure is a buzz 🎣😎
Yeah and another handy tip that I do, as it can be a bit tricky to tie anchor to the front side latch there once on the water, so the night before I go fishing , on my drive way I’ll let out the amount of rope I know I’ll need with a fair few metres extra for safety, tie it to the side of ski. Store the rope, and anchor in the front storage compartment. Then when you pull up on your spot you already are tied on and you simply just chuck it overboard ✅✅ I do the same with the burley bag. Have that tied on and in the esky so as soon as I pull up I just throw it overboard. Fishing from the ski it pays to be prepared and with a little prep work it makes life so much easier 🚀🎣✅ hope this helps out man!
@rush.gang.fishing that's a great way of doing it! I actually went out the same day as this video and just wasn't prepared enough so had a bit of a rough time getting set up 😂 all part of the learning experience! Keen for the next weather window. Cheers mate
Hey mate 👋 thanks heaps for watching! To answer all your questions check out the start of the video I posted last week ( big snapper as thumbnail ) within the first couple mins I show all the gear & why I use it ✅✅🎣 thanks mate 🤙🎣
Hahah na mate the old maccas cup didn’t keep the coffee warm for very long, as you say not that I had time to drink it anyway 😂🎣 super hot bite. I was glad it happened quickly and I was able to bail early for a sausage roll from the bakery there 😂🎣✅✅
Hey mate 👋 to be honest I feel very comfortable on it, if you have watched my old videos where I owned a boat, I actually take this ski further then I ever took my boat 🤷🏼♂️😅 I will admit when the swell is pumping being on anchor isn’t the most pleasant but if your just drifting around it’s pretty perfect for quick fishing sessions ✅ this was filmed around the “3 mile” reef if your familiar with that but would easily go further then that on the ski 🚀 👍🏻🎣
Mate.. you're amazing... do you ever work!? 😂😂 Do you find the time of day or the tide the most important? When I get my boat in a few months, I'll probably sit out behind those reefs a few km north until I work things out. But I'll also be chasing squid and whiting a lot. Keep the vids coming... 👍
Hahaha mate believe it or not I work full time as a warehouse manager, also have a second jobs that I do approx 6 hours a week doing, 4 young kids and no family in Australia other then my wife haha ✅😍 I only fish once a week for 5 hours max ( every now and again I’ll fish twice in a week but not often ) I guess I just get lucky when I go out haha 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️👍🏻 i don’t sleep a lot 😂🎣 I think what helps me to be able to get videos out most weeks is I do all my editing on my iPhone so all my lunch breaks, and any spare minute I get is spent editing or doing working out my next fishing mission 😂🎣✅ thanks for watching!!
@@rush.gang.fishing Wow... ok Jack, I take it all back!! Goodonya. I've got a lot of years on you, but I found if you put the hard yards in early, you get the benefits later in life... and it comes around quick! You certainly have a knack.. not just for catching fish, but also the way you edit and present it. Much appreciated mate. Cheers 🍻
Haha yes it doesn’t stop, life’s busy but I love it, enjoy what I’m doing that’s for sure! Yes time does go by bloody quick and got to put the work in while “ young and healthy “ as yes it creeps up on you alright. Appreciate the kind words and I’ll catch ya on the next one 👍🏻🎣✅
Mate that's a good morning out for some bottom bouncing you could of had coffee in hand 👌 That's a pity you got smoked by something decent. I do find that if you are peeling off line open up the drag as it is only getting tighter and tighter and you wouldnt normally have the drag set that high. It happened may times to myself and witness this many times with the big fish. But yes sometimes it has been dragged on the reef
Haha I had a Maccas coffee in the cup holder of the ski 😂👍🏻 went cold pretty fast though in the paper cup and out in the wind 😂☕️ yeah it makes sense iv never tried opening the bail arm while into a big one it all happens so quick and I didn’t even consider it, one day 😅😂🎣✅ thanks for watching mate!!
