I would recommend you to use a large base, a thin MDF or similar that you don't use and glue parts of sprue and bits that you have left over and use when dry brushing

@cosmereinminiature They make special primer for minis (Army Painter, Games Workshop) that will give great coverage and a much thinner coating to preserve the details and avoid the droplets and pooling. They're about $15 and well worth it. They even make various colors for base coating.

Yep, I’ve seen those but didn’t like the price tag. I’ve found that the standard spray paint cans are half the price and larger than the mini-brands.
Most of my minis turn out totally fine with the non-mini brand spray cans, this one just took a lot of paint to the face. 😂

Any tips on how to do the shattered mosaic glass behind renarin? It just looks like painted rocks, is there a way to do a gloss effect?

I've been thinking about how to handle that. I'd recommend looking into how to paint stained glass for miniatures. I know there are gloss effect paints, I have some on-hand, but have yet to use them.

Use bright colored paint with heavy pigmenting for full coverage. Then get a brush on gloss sealer and you can put a tiny bit of colored paint in it to give it a tinted look. Bruch the clear gloss acrylic over the colors one by one and you'll have a nice shiny translucent look. You can also do this with the UV curing resin which might work even better!
