I rented the one from United Rentals, with the GAS engine. Ford puts a gas in for a LNG fleet if need be. It was under powered for going up hill with a full load of 5/8 gravel, that's just my feeling driving her. I do have the V-10 in my PU and have no problem pulling my 5000 pound boat.

OBD II codes? Those scanners can be found pretty inexpensive.

Yes, these trucks are built to work!

These trucks are junk and dont hold up very well , not worth the money or aggravation, youll spend more money on rentals and repairs then the truck is worth

Please I have a f650 super duty truck that's not moving as it should... The rev won't go beyond 1000rpm, I suspected DEF so I drained the DEF tank and got new DEF... But still the same
The only thing we can suggest is to bring it into a dealer and let them diagnose. Hope you get it running right soon!

Why do these bigger trucks have less torque than the f250 f350 f450 ?
Different trucks for different jobs. The engines are developed differently to handle specific performance and peak torque at certain times taking into account the weight and chassis of the truck in addition to the potential loads. Just like the 3.5L Ecoboost is in a variety of Ford vehicles it has different power output numbers in the Explorer and Flex than the F-150 or even the Raptor for example.

The real reason is durability. If you want 400 hp from a diesel, it is going to require a lot of boost and fuel. This is eventually going to have an effect on durability. If you want and engine that is actually going to last any length of time, it is going to have a lot less power. Modern cars and trucks don't need the power they have and rarely use it. An F-650 gas has a GVW of 26,000 lbs. That is a real truck, not a poser toy. I drove trucks with the same GVW that had 150 hp and me and my load always got there.
@@christophermanno6419 Chassis construction (frame/springs/shocks/differential/transmission/etc...) has more to do with maximum tow and payload ratings than actual torque output numbers from the engine itself. The F-650 and 750 are class 6 and 7 trucks. The F-250-450 fall under class 5 trucks. Hope this helps.

Seat is not comfortable, Brand new truck in 2017 F750. The pain in my back after driving 3-5 miles and no adjustment works. 5,800 miles and 4 yrs. of use the Gear box seal could not hold up to the winter roads which Ford should sheild the working components from the weather and road grime. Which salt is on the road weather its the vehicle putting it down or just driving in it doing any work with the WORK truck. Ford dealerships couldnt even get a replacement gear box to get me on the road again, So I lose work and another Twp. gets paid to do my job. I thought there was a Fedral law to have parts readily available for any vehical under 10 years old. The other unexpected thing is the air brakes wont release unless I go in reverse first, The building that its kept in is only 2 feet longer than the truck with plow on it so very inconvient. My over all is F750 is not a work truck for winter roads and should not have been sold and set up for plowing by Kali... Trucking. I want my 2000 GMC C6500 back, sure it got rust but always comfortable to sit in and parts lasted longer.
