I got a great deal on the Elvis box. I've found that Target has mixed results. It seems like there are more clearance items on the East Coast, based on what I've heard from the VC. Thanks for tuning in. Have a great day!
i lived out in los angeles in 90s too when No Doubt hit. And couldn’t turn on KROQ without hearing them constantly. i never see these deals at Targets and Walmarts. I check occasionally but just never see any deals. i’m not a big Elvis fan but that box for 99¢ is pretty amazing.
Killer Elvis set! Hard to pass on those Target 🎯 clearance titles. Green Day, No Doubt, Pearl Jam, Carlito’s Way and The Dude! 🔥🔥 Nice nabs! Duke and Stray, Flanagan on Moodsville! 🔥🔥
It was probably inventory time because I'd never seen so many titles discounted at one time before. I usually pick up one here and one there. Thanks, Chance.
Lmao, the story of this video, did I need another copy- NO, did I buy another copy, YES. Haha. I never ever find clearance at Target or Walmart. To be fair I don’t visit the stores very often. After working retail for half my life do I really want to go to a retail store…no. Still the deals you found and 1/2 price records at an antique mall. You are the king of finding bargains Mark
Thanks, Steve. I stop at Target once a week. I can see why you wouldn't want to go into a retail shop like that. I worked at Robinson May while I was in college. It's a story I'm all too familiar with-too many records!🤷♂️
A little Mad4Vinyl video catch up as I relax on a Thurs night: All that Elvis for .99cents. Yowsah! Some awesome Target close-outs. Ai No Corrida- love that Quincy Jones track. You never know what deals you'll find at these larger retailers. Sweet til Tuesday find. 😎🎶
Quincy is an incredible musician and arranger. I also love his early jazz titles. The No Doubt album is fantastic-I'd forgotten how much I love that band. Thanks, Ed.
I bet I would like that entire TLC ! Maybe Target discounts records in LA and SF.. Not here, for sure ! I would buy 2 copies of VS as well. Cool Beck title, I don't know that one. Moodsville looks good, Tommy Flanagan is terrific w/ Roy Haynes.. It's got to be great 😊
I think you'll really like the TLC album. It's fantastic from beginning to end. And the Flanagan album is beautiful and probably right up your alley. Thanks, Jt.
I don't even have TLC on Cd.. I'm moving in that direction somewhat, musically, and I'm light on Tommy Flanagan. Maye I'll pick some up in Paris next March ! Instead of transit in Tokyo, were going over the Atlantic, this time to Bangkok.
So, because of your encouragement and your love of music, you are one of the main reasons I've decided to start posting videos again. Good to see you again Mark, even thought I still had your channel on my TV, so I watched you from the tube to which I don't have a keyboard attached to, so unfortunately I couldn't leave comments. But I always watching your videos because of your great love of vinyl and music. Nice finds, especially at clearance prices, great stuff. Wow, incredible price on the "Vs" album, one of my favorite PJ albums. Love that Quincey Jones album (which you sent me a copy of last year, thank you very much)! That 'Til Tuesday album brings back memories from my years working at Record Bar, one of the greats from those years. Definitely not a favorite on the ZZ Top, I agree with your assessment there. Great stuff. It's good to be back.
Mike - I was hoping this would be the case when I saw that you commented on Brian's latest video! It's great to have you back. I appreciate your support. I definitely hit Target at the right time. Looking forward to your upcoming videos. I hope all is well with you.🙂
@@mad4vinyl802 I already posted a reply to JTs contest a few days ago and I show a few recent finds. I have several finds that I haven't shown yet so I'll probably post another tomorrow.
I'd say that you did very well with these finds 🙂Afterburner was s disappointment. I do really like that 'Til Tuesday LP. I paid $16.99 for that Beck record and I thought I got a deal. $5! Amazing
I've been playing the Til Tuesday LP quite a bit. It's a great album. I forgot how much I like it. I've also been listening to the No Doubt Greatest Hits set non-stop. Thanks, Brian. Afterburner is dreadful.
Hey Mark! I've been wondering about that Green Day album. I've purposely not listened to any clips as I decide whether or not to pick it up, but after hearing your praise for it I think I'm going to take the plunge. A very nice selection of pickup-ups! Cheers!
Wow, lots of female artists! And newer records too. Cool I like Jackson Browne too - I saw him open for Tom Petty. Too bad about the Ellington/Strayhorn record, but maybe the Flanagan record makes up for it. I like Tommy Flanagan. I think Moodsville was used as a label name by Prestige for easy listening type music. Thanks for showing the records Mark!
The Flanagan record really helped to make up for the weaknesses of the Ellington title. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the newer pressings. Takecare, Randy.
nice finds! I need to check my Target more often! Cool Elvis box! Thanks for sharing!

I also have these awful flashbacks of Sugar Ray being on the radio all the time! 🤣

You would love the Flanagan album!! The Elvis set was well done. Famous last words, hard to pass up.
You cleaned up with these pickups! My local Targets haven’t gone full close out mode yet, but happy for those that are grabbing these scores!

I think you'll like it. It's been produced in a leaner way than on previous releases. Thanks, Dave.

Hold the door !! The Elvis Cd box was .99 cents ? Wow ! Watching the rest,I'm on lunch break..
I know, right? One of my few finds at thrift stores nowadays. It's a great set already displayed on the shelf.
I like it ! Still at work for another hour. I want to the the rest of your video.
