    Wait a minute, my husband is 47 and he’s never gotten over being a fussy eater. I just know if I tried putting cauliflower in Mac and cheese, he would notice right away and not eat it. He definitely eats like a 3 year old! 😂 My son is 19, and used to eat like his dad..he is finally trying new foods now that he has discovered cooking shows on TH-cam. So, they don’t always outgrow it at 5 years old. I wish. That would making cooking so much easier if I could just make anything I wanted and everyone liked it.

    My boy is a really picky eater on the spectrum that mostly eats one single ingredient. no meals. I'm trying to find new and healthy food he can eat and I showed him this video and he agree to try all recipes. Thank you for the video. The smoothie made him exited. I have high hopes for the future. Thank you.

      I love hiding veggies into recipes for my 1 year old. I’ve tried spinach and zucchini in bread, broccoli in scrambled eggs, zucchini in waffles, and others. As long as they’re kept hidden well usually works great!

    My hubby is 33 and I hide all sorts of veg in his food. My favourite is lasagne. You can grate mushrooms and they have the same texture as mince. Blend courgettes, spinach, red pepper, celery and carrots into the tomato sauce. As long as its topped with lots of cheese he is none the wiser

      realistic in what reality? There is the deep fried American reality and the Mediterranean reality... I'm not a health freak but that cheese sauce for me is very unhealthy.. Maybe once a month, but not very often. The pastry also is full of butter... Go check how it's made! I don't know, I will try some of these but not too often. Cheers

    I no longer buy refried beans because of the salt content but they are so so easy to make! Just any types of beans, (I use kidney and canneleni beans) and chilli, cumin, garlic purée, little bit of salt and water! So much less salt than in the original and just leave them on a low simmer for 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally! I leave it chunky but it could be blended to smooth! They also freeze!

      I've seen much worse. In some articles and vids for picky eaters they straight up have sides of cut up veggies. Like come on if my kid were to eat veggies as long as they have a dip I wouldn't be looking up these topics 😂

    • @AloneInTheGarden
      @AloneInTheGarden 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@raeanna451 Yes! I have one kid who was incredibly fussy until he was about 5-6, when he finally started eating new things. Now I can at least get him to eat grapes and bananas, and a couple kinds of vegetables where he’d never touch fruits and vegetables before. But his younger sister who is 5 now is 10x worse than he ever was. It drives me crazy because I love all kinds of foods and love to cook. I’ve always introduced all kinds of foods to them, but they are just SO picky. My daughter got to the point where she was too thin because she wouldn’t eat hardly anything we’d try to feed her. Her pediatrician straight up told us to feed her whatever she will eat, even if it seems unhealthy, just to get her to gain weight. There’s only about 4-5 foods she will eat consistently even though we try to get her to eat new things on a daily basis. It’s awful having a child be so picky.

    • @raeanna451
      @raeanna451 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AloneInTheGarden good to know I'm not the only one. We always introduce foods of different kinds to try to widen the variety but my first one is just not interested. I feel like my kids diets consist of quesadillas , mac and cheese peanut butter and jelly, you know all of the kids basics. Luckily my first will eat bananas as well as fried eggs out of all of the things so every single morning we start the day with fried egg because it's the only protein I can get him to eat he hates any kind of meat 🤦🏼‍♀️ I also recently managed to sneak some beans into his quesadilla but if anything green goes into it it's game over he knows.

    • @AloneInTheGarden
      @AloneInTheGarden 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raeanna451 I’m with you in solidarity for sure! For mine, it’s store bought ramen, Colby Jack cheese, sliced deli ham, chicken nuggets, and she’ll eat pretty much anything that has chocolate in it. I feel terrible every day that she eats so poorly, but honestly we’re just doing the best we can to make sure she has options and is getting something in her belly.

      I would say personally make your kids try new foods and it more adventurous foods bc when they grow up if there eating chicken nuggets and stuff there gonna be fussy and it’s gonna be harder to make meals for them but it u make them try new foods from a very young age and on wards it won’t be hard to feed your kids bc they won’t be fussy just my opinion u can do what u want 😄
