Hey guys! Hope you like this video, I put lots work and love into it! Also - BAM - face reveal, how bout that. If you liked the song I made at the end you can listen on Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/dylantallchief/super-mega-kawaii All the best
What the hell?? This is insanity! Not only the track you've made but so much work to edit this video as well!! Maaan these videos are so entertaining, keep it this unreal work! You're talented too much!
what a wild transition from explaining in detail the very simple difference between a major and minor chord, to getting assblasted by this masterpiece of a song. absolutely incredible
*immediately subscribes* You literally read my mind with this. I started on a kawaii track not long ago and watching this video, it was really interesting to see the same ideas from a different perspective. I found you from the Snails House remake when I was doing research for mine, and just checked back today to find this gem of a video. And for what it's worth, the drop on your own track is absolutely amazing. Really great video overall. Some other stuff that could be fun if you ever decide to do a followup: -More theory about composition. I'd love to see some ideas about voicing and melodies! -Theory about the influences from other genres (Ex: I know a lot of kawaii stuff lately has been making use of bossa nova rhythms, and that kind of syncopation is an interesting topic on it's own.) -More about sound design would be a lot of fun, but I know a lot of that can be garnered from the FLPs Anyway, keep up the great work dude!
Such a complex track with so tons of well-thought-out layers. Thought I would hate this genre but I gained a newfound appreciation for it thanks to this video. You're ridiculously talented bruv. With a great sense of humour too :) Keep it up!
Man, you're so talented. I don't know what are you your plans for future, but you're gonna be a very successful artist, if not already. I hope to see your name one day among the biggest influencers and producers. You've done a lot for the producers ommunity. Thanks a lot boy. you will o far!
this is the only video so far that has actually explained the process of making future bass in a way i can understand... and actually going over the progressions isntead o being like "add the chords" with no explanation why the cords the way they were.. thank u!
Man that explanation about major and minor cords following the 2 3 2 3 vs the 3 2 3 2 pattern blew my mind, I just couldn’t get any music theory stuff thru to my stupid brain no matter how much I read and you just explained it in such an intuitive way that it has opened the door for me and suddenly made all the other music theory things make perfect sense.
I love your music theory bit. That note spacing thing seems magical to me! :D Definitely gonna be playing with that while writing my first track. Thank you so much for the easy to understand music theory on the chords in this.
If people ask for someone who combines great production tips with spicy and dank memes, I'll always tell them Seamle... Err I mean Dylan Tallchief is the best. Nah but on a serious note tho, love the vids and the mix between actual advice and humor. Keep it up!
I think what makes this seem so much harder than it actually is, is all those layers. It's hard, as a newcomer to digital studio music, to wrap your head around the fact that most of those layers are just the same notes in different sounds, or effects put on top. You tend to focus on the fact that there's 15-20 channels running at once, rather than actually looking at what each channel contains. You can't see the forest for all the trees. But what Dylan described before hitting play on that last track, that's really it. Learn from that, and you'll know what you need to know to replicate that entire song yourself. Just layer the sounds on top of each other in different ways, and soon you'll discover you've used 15-20 channels yourself, and everything makes perfect sense.
Just in case anyone was curious, displacing notes in a chord by an octave in order to make the transition between chords more smooth is an example of "voice leading." Without good voice leading, movement between chords often winds up feeling stiff, jagged, distracting etc. It's worth learning about if you want to know how to make your progressions more satisfying :)
Hy :) I like japanese stuff and the voices are so great to hear in Animes/Games. There is no real new music (because many people can + make music), only a mix of different Elements and how we use them (+ mixing & mastering it). So it's cool, if he make (sometimes) more funny stuff in the songs and (always) different instruments. [For me was Aphex Twin with songs like "Windowlicker" the best experimental music maker] Have nice days & fun [and if you like, say me your favourite Animes/Games (if you have some)] ;)
It always astonishes me how you have the creative bandwidth to produce incredible music and *ALSO* cut intensive video edits. Well done... well done. 🙌🏻
Quick version: (I assume you use FL) Go to the master channel and turn stereo separation to -100 so you get it to mono, It'll sound worse but when it's done it'll be better. Now put all your channels to lowest volume and increase them one by one to your liking (Pro tip: Master all your channels low and increase with a limiter on the master channel, that way it won't peak). Once you're done with that put an eq on all of your sounds and remove all the unnecesary frequencies, the easiest way it to cut both the high and low end then move the cuts to higher or lower frequencies untill you've isolated the sound with out changing the sound. Now turn back stereo separation to 0 and that's the basics :) You probably didn't understand completely but hopefully I was to some help :)
Awesome video. As a fan of this music genre, it's a bit frustrating not to be able to put a fixed name on it; but you've perfectly described it. Awesome video and awesome music. You've put a great production value in this. Great great job.
I’ve always found kawaii bass pretty cheesy, but this video helped me appreciate the work and dank memes that go behind it! Thank you for this video! And good song at the end!
Somehow... i learned chords better with how Dylan just showed off what some cool things about it are, than with the few hours i was trying to learn and practice it elsewhere.
Wasn't expecting a face reveal. My expectations are fulfilled.
VIP3Rx me too
VIP3Rx yup this guy's bawss I want some comparison between aces to aces & Dylan
VIP3Rx i was thinking he was older line 30
Sounds like they're subverted more than fulfilled

All the best
it really clear, and the song is great
Dope AF. ♥♫♥☺!
Just found the video, love it! Great way to explain Kawaii Bass to people unfamiliar!
What the hell?? This is insanity! Not only the track you've made but so much work to edit this video as well!! Maaan these videos are so entertaining, keep it this unreal work! You're talented too much!
Vytautas Matulevičius for real! just look at all the memes and hard work in the video and track has me so scared to make cute n kawaii music
Isnt his song. Its snails hous
Not his song
ending song is
6:00 when an edm producer tries a real instrument
it slightly offends me, but i laughed anyways
But most producers use real instruments..
As an edm producer I can say this is partly true
Doesn't mean I'm not hurt tho
@@spvcethvg8462 no they use midi controllers which is similar to real instruments but aren't exactly the same
That moment when you want to make a face reveal but don't know what to put in it so you make a video in which you reveal your face
SQRM I couldn't find your soundcloud, can you send me your "missing you" remix? (I'll buy it if it's on itunes or something)
You look like Mr Bean and George Clooney had a baby

I remade that.

what a wild transition from explaining in detail the very simple difference between a major and minor chord, to getting assblasted by this masterpiece of a song. absolutely incredible
The word ”睾丸" appears at 14:17 means tes◯icle in Japanese. Thanks for the great work
It’s actually someone saying “Thank You, Mario” but it’s slightly cut off.
[white slate] it isn’t but alright
hahahahaha
@@whiteslate no he meant the text that appears after thank you mario
There's also something above 睾丸. Is it "セガ" (Sega) or "センサー" (sensor)? Because it's not that visible.
